It seems like the time between Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day goes by so fast! You barely finish going through the cards from classmates when it’s time to celebrate the luck of the Irish!

It would be perfect for an afternoon activity, a preschool, or any setting where the kids have about 10 to 15 minutes to make and take something related to St. Patrick’s Day.

What you will need for the craft:
- Paper plate
- Quick dry tacky glue or school glue
- Leprechaun Template Files (download them for FREE here)
- Scissors
How to make the paper plate Leprechaun

1. Download and Print the Leprechaun Template. The cutting isn’t too complicated so preschoolers could even use this as scissor practice!
- Cut out the pieces of the Leprechaun.
- Cut off the rounded sides of the paper plate so that the leprechaun’s face isn’t too round.
3. To create the Leprechaun, glue the pieces to the plate.
4. Allow to dry completely before playing or displaying.
- Optional Step– glue a craft stick to the back of the plate for a leprechaun paper plate puppet!
