St. Patrick’s Day Lunch Box Notes
I love this idea! But first.. a confession. Last year I failed as a lunch box Mom. I mean, I tried. I started the year with good intentions, but very quickly the task of daily preparing lunch became overwhelming. I am not sure why… but I suspect it was the day when my daughter declared she hated PB&J Uncrustables (no judging). All of a sudden I actually had to make a real lunch for her every single day.. and try to keep it cold too!
The first time I allowed her to buy Mac ‘N Cheese, she came home super excited and that was it… she was a lunch buyer the rest of the year.
This year, I vowed to get more organized and try it again. So, I purchased a better lunch box (Trolls theme thank you very much), 2 sets of reusable ice packs, and 3 sets of matching plastic containers so we could basically build a Bento Box for her each day. Now, I don’t so much make her lunch as I assemble it. It takes about 5 minutes and it is totally worth it.
One of the things I have grown to love about making my daughter’s lunch is that I can add personal touches to tell her I love her. Sometimes I make a funny face sandwich. Sometimes I include a special holiday-themed cookie.
This idea to include a lunch box note is totally awesome!
Aren’t these notes super cute?
