This simple Fall Tree Play Doh activity for kids is the perfect way to incorporate those super pretty Fall leaves into an activity your kids will love!

Sometimes the best seasonal activities are also the most simple ones. Younger kids love nature and they love playing with Play Doh. Why not combine those two super fun activities and do this easy Fall Tree Playdoh activity with them.

It’s more a sensory activity than a craft, but your kids will love rolling the Play Doh around to make different types of Fall trees.

This activity would be perfect to do any Fall day, even as an after school activity. It’s really a simple activity. Check out the tutorial below!

What you will need:

Colorful Leaves (these are some lovely craft leaves) or you can gather your own from a nature walk.
Play Doh in orange, blue and yellow (here is a great set of Play Doh!)

How to Create this adorable Fall Tree:

1. Take a nature walk with your kids. Invite them to pick a handful of leaves. Your kids will love bringing home their treasures to incoroprate into this activity. If your area doesn’t have fall leaves, no worries.. most craft stores (as well as Amazon) sell pretty craft versions of Fall leaves.. and their colors are just as vibrant.

2. Mix orange, blue and yellow play doh together to form the grayish doh for your tree trunk. Let your kids really work the Play Doh in their hands.

3. Tear the gray doh into two sections, with being larger than the other.

4. Roll the biggest section into the shape of a tree trunk.

5. Begin tearing off bits of the remaining playdoh. Form several branches and attach them to the tree trunk. As you can see, I did two bigger branches, with 2 forked sections on each limb.
