Disney World’s Beaches and Cream Restaurant Review

I feel like Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is one of those places you hear about long before you ever actually eat there. It pops up on social media constantly. It’s always someone holding an absurd ice cream sundae, usually the Kitchen Sink, usually with shocked expressions and a table covered in chocolate syrup and whipped cream.
So by the time we finally made it here during our stay at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, my expectations were… complicated. I expected a wait. I expected chaos. I expected sugar overload. What surprised me was how much this tiny, loud, slightly ridiculous place actually felt like classic Disney fun.

First Impressions: This Place Is Tiny (and That’s Part of the Deal)
The first thing you notice walking into Beaches & Cream is how small it is. This is not a sprawling dining room. It’s a little restaurant with smaller tables, pastel colors everywhere, and barely enough room for the servers to move once it fills up.
And it does fill up.
That cramped layout is a big reason for the long wait, but it’s also part of the charm. It feels like an old-school ice cream shop that somehow landed inside Walt Disney World. Loud conversations bounce off the walls, sundaes parade past your table, and the Cast Members keep things moving with practiced efficiency.
If you want quiet? Look elsewhere. If you want energy and nostalgia, this is a fun spot.

The Menu: Not Just Ice Cream (But Let’s Be Honest…)
Yes, Beaches & Cream is an ice cream shop first and foremost. The ice cream menu leans heavily into hand-scooped ice cream, ice cream sundaes, floats, shakes, and over-the-top desserts.
Yes, Beaches & Cream is famous for ice cream, but the food side of the menu deserves a little attention too.
The burgers here are well known and consistently talked about as some of the best burgers in this little Crescent Lake pocket between Beach Club and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. You’ll hear people rave about them all the time — and based on how often they show up on tables around the room, they’re clearly popular.
That said, I’ve personally never ordered the burger.

I’m a grilled cheese person, and Beaches & Cream does a really good grilled cheese. I’ve ordered it more than once — once paired with tomato soup, and another time with the chili cheese fries (yes, there’s an upcharge, and yes, it’s worth it). The grilled cheese is exactly what you want it to be: buttery, crisp on the outside, gooey in the middle, and unapologetically nostalgic.
It’s comfort food done right, and honestly, it fits the whole cream soda shop vibe perfectly.

Desserts & The Kitchen Sink
The Kitchen Sink sundae is the dessert everyone associates with Beaches & Cream — and while I haven’t personally ordered it, I’ve seen it come out enough times to know it’s absolutely massive.
Multiple scoops of ice cream, a parade of toppings, brownies, bananas, candy bars, and an entire can of whipped cream — it’s more of a spectacle than a dessert. It’s the kind of thing you order once for the experience, especially if you’re traveling with a big group or extended family members.
Anytime a table orders this massive ice cream dessert, there is actually a little ceremony. It’s pretty cute and fun.

What I have ordered — repeatedly — are the slightly “smaller” sundaes. And by smaller, I mean still ginormous, just not Kitchen Sink-level ridiculous.
My go-to is the Fudge Brownie Mudslide, because if there’s an option that leans heavily into chocolate, that’s usually what I’m picking. It’s loaded with scoops of chocolate ice cream, hot fudge, chocolate syrup, and a large, chewy brownie that’s rich without being dry. It’s absolutely a sweet treat you could share… though I rarely want to.

My friend is a peanut butter lover, so she almost always orders the No Way José sundae, which piles scoops of vanilla ice cream with peanut butter sauce, chocolate sauce, and plenty of toppings. Like the Mudslide, it’s huge — easily shareable — and feels just as indulgent without crossing into Kitchen Sink territory.

If you want the Beaches & Cream experience without committing to the biggest dessert on property, these sundaes are the sweet spot.
A Quick Shout-Out to the Other Desserts
If the massive sundaes feel like too much (or you’re dining with kids who don’t want to share), Beaches & Cream has plenty of other dessert options that still feel special without being overwhelming.
The banana split is a classic here and a great middle ground — big enough to feel indulgent, but not so huge that it turns into a project. The specialty shakes are another solid choice, especially if you want something fun and nostalgic without committing to a full ice cream sundae situation.
There are also smaller scoops and simpler ice cream options, which are perfect for kids who just want a single flavor and are done after a few bites. It’s one of those places where everyone at the table can get exactly the level of dessert they want — from “just a scoop” to “we are absolutely leaning into this.”
It’s a nice reminder that Beaches & Cream isn’t all-or-nothing. You don’t have to go big to enjoy it.

Service, Pace, and the Reality of the Wait
Once you’re seated, service is fast and friendly. Cast Members are clearly used to managing tight quarters and excited guests. The real challenge is getting in.
Reservations help. Walk-up spots do appear, but they’re unpredictable. This is one of those Disney restaurants where flexibility matters.
Location: Why People Go Out of Their Way for This Place
Beaches & Cream sits right at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, steps from Stormalong Bay — often called the best pool at Walt Disney World — and just a short walk from Disney’s Yacht Club and Epcot’s International Gateway.
You don’t need a park ticket, which makes this a great stop on a resort day.

Final Thoughts: Is Beaches & Cream Worth It?
Yes — but go in knowing what it is.
This isn’t about fine dining. It’s about nostalgia, sugar, and leaning into something a little ridiculous. It’s loud. It’s crowded. It’s not efficient. And somehow, that’s exactly why it works.
I wouldn’t eat here every trip. But I would come back — probably for a burger, fries, and a smaller sundae… and maybe one more scoop of mint chocolate chip, just because.
