If you’re thinking about renting DVC points and wondering whether Disney’s Beach Club Villas are worth it, let me save you a lot of second-guessing: for the right kind of Disney trip, they’re fantastic.

This is not a review of Disney’s Beach Club Resort as a whole. I already have a full breakdown of that experience. This post is specifically about the DVC villas—the rooms, the building location, the pros and cons, and how they compare to both standard Beach Club rooms and other DVC resorts.

Beach Club Villas are one of those stays that people love… once they understand what they’re getting.

Quick Take: Who Beach Club Villas Are Best For

Before we get into the details, here’s the honest snapshot:

Beach Club Villas are a great choice if you want:

  • Walking distance to Epcot
  • Easy access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Deluxe resort perks without deluxe cash prices
  • One of the best pools on Disney property
  • A relaxed, grown-up vibe (especially for adults-only trips)

They’re not ideal if you want:

  • Tons of in-room space in a studio
  • Strong quick-service dining
  • A centrally located lobby room

Note: The Beach Club Villas have their own mini-lobby with a great sitting room and game room. Honestly, it’s more functional than the main lobby and great for chilling out and relaxing when you aren’t in the parks.

Where the Beach Club Villas Are Located (And Why People Complain)

Let’s address the elephant in the room: yes, the DVC building is at the far end of the resort.

The DVC building sits behind the main Beach Club buildings, closer to Crescent Lake and the bridge toward Epcot’s International Gateway.

But here’s the thing—this complaint is a little overblown.

The Reality of the Walk

  • Many standard Beach Club guest rooms are also a long walk
  • The Villas building is actually very close to the path leading to the International Gateway
  • You can easily cut behind the edge of the resort to reach Epcot
  • It’s a short walk to the bridge, especially compared to other deluxe resorts

If you’re rope-dropping Epcot or strolling in for dinner, this location is a huge win.

Walking Distance & Transportation Perks

Beach Club Villas shine when it comes to getting around.

Epcot

  • Truly walking distance to the International Gateway
  • Faster than buses
  • Perfect for Food & Wine Festival days (or my favorite festivals… Flower and Garden and Festival of the Arts)
  • Easy mid-day breaks

Hollywood Studios

  • Boat transportation across Crescent Lake
  • Peaceful, scenic ride
  • Boats run frequently
  • Also accessible via a longer walking path if you’re ambitious

You’re also near the Disney Skyliner station, though it’s not directly attached to the resort.

Stormalong Bay: Still the Star of the Show

There’s no way to talk about Disney’s Beach Club Villas without talking about Stormalong Bay.

This is a 3-acre water wonderland shared with Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and it’s hands-down one of the best pools at the Walt Disney World Resort.

What Makes Stormalong Bay Special

  • Sand-bottom main pool
  • Lazy river with inner tubes
  • Whirlpool spas
  • Shipwreck-style slide
  • Multiple leisure pools
  • Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar nearby

It’s essentially a mini water park—without needing to visit the actual water parks.

The Quiet Pool (An Underrated Perk)

Right next to the Beach Club Villas building is the quiet pool, and honestly? It’s one of my favorite features of this stay.

Yes, Stormalong Bay is incredible—but it’s also busy.

The quiet pool:

  • Is calm and rarely crowded
  • Has a relaxed, adult-friendly vibe
  • Is perfect after a long day in the theme parks
  • Feels especially nice on adults-only trips

If you’re staying in the Villas building, it’s right there. No trekking required.

Beach Club Villas Room Types Explained

This is where expectations really matter.

Deluxe Studios

  • Queen-size bed
  • Queen-size sleeper sofa or pull-down Murphy bed
  • Small table and seating area
  • Kitchenette with:
    • Kitchen sink
    • Mini fridge
    • Microwave
    • Limited counter space

Honest take (I have only stayed at the studios):
The studios are nice, but they don’t feel huge. They aren’t the smallest DVC studios, but they definitely have less storage and counter space than standard Beach Club rooms.

The trade-off?
That kitchenette is incredibly handy.

One-Bedroom Villas

  • King-size bed in the master bedroom
  • Queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room
  • Full kitchen (fully equipped kitchen)
  • Stack-style washer and dryer
  • Much more square feet
  • Separate living area

This is where Beach Club Villas really start to shine.

Two-Bedroom Villas

  • Dedicated two-bedroom units or two-bedroom lock-off villas
  • Second bedroom with queen bed or queen-size sleeper sofa
  • Two bathrooms
  • Full kitchen
  • Large living room

These are ideal for families or multigenerational trips—and very hard to book due to limited availability.

Dining Options at Beach Club Villas

Let’s be honest here: quick service is not Beach Club’s strength.

Beach Club Marketplace

  • Light snacks
  • Grab-and-go items
  • Coffee
  • To-go window options

It’s fine—but compared to other Disney resort hotels, it feels limited.

Where Beach Club Really Wins: Table Service

  • Cape May Cafe – character breakfasts and seafood dinner buffet
  • Beaches & Cream Soda Shop – iconic ice cream, burgers, and over-the-top desserts

Between Cape May, Beaches & Cream, and Epcot being steps away, dining is still one of the resort’s strengths.

Amenities & Resort Extras

  • Ship Shape Health Club
  • Gift shop and front desk in the main building
  • Water taxis around Crescent Lake
  • Bus stop for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and other parks
  • Free parking
  • Deluxe resort perks

You’ll also enjoy extended evening hours when eligible—another reason this is such a great DVC villa option.

Renting DVC Points for Beach Club Villas: My Honest Take

This is one of the best places to rent DVC points if you value location over room size.

Why Renting Works So Well Here

  • Deluxe resort for moderate-resort-like pricing
  • Access to one of Disney’s best pools
  • Walking distance to Epcot
  • Excellent transportation options
  • Strong resale value in experience

The studios are cozy, yes—but for many trips, the location more than makes up for it.

Is Beach Club Villas Worth It?

If your dream Disney vacation includes:

  • Evening strolls into Epcot
  • Relaxed pool days
  • A New England–style beach hotel vibe
  • Easy access to two parks
  • Deluxe accommodations without deluxe prices

Then Disney’s Beach Club Villas are absolutely worth considering.

They aren’t perfect—but for the right trip, they’re a fantastic choice.
