Sunshine Seasons Review at EPCOT: One of the Most Reliable Quick Service Restaurants

Sunshine Seasons Review

Thinking about eating at Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT? Here’s my honest review, what to order, and why it’s one of my favorite places to recharge during a busy park day.

Estimated reading time: 7 minutes

I feel like Sunshine Seasons doesn’t get enough love.

It’s never the restaurant that people get excited about before their trip.

Nobody is counting down the days until they can eat there.

But somehow…

I end up there almost every single time I visit EPCOT.

And honestly, that’s probably the biggest compliment I can give it.

Why I Keep Coming Back

Part of the reason is the location.

Sunshine Seasons is tucked inside The Land pavilion, which means if you’re riding Soarin’ or Living with the Land, you’re already right there.

And let’s be honest…

That part of EPCOT doesn’t exactly have a lot of food options.

Actually…

It has one.

😂

So if you’ve spent the morning riding attractions on that side of the park and suddenly realize you’re hungry, Sunshine Seasons is the obvious choice.

Thankfully…

It’s a really good one.

I’ve Probably Eaten More Snacks Here Than Meals

One thing I like about Sunshine Seasons is that it works whether you’re starving or you just need a little something to keep going.

I’ve probably eaten more snacks here than actual meals.

The Mickey-shaped Strawberry Lemonade Macaron is fantastic.

The turtle brownie?

Also fantastic.

My friend absolutely loved the chocolate peanut butter whoopie pie when it was on the menu, and she’s still disappointed they took it away.

Disney changes the menu here pretty often, so desserts come and go.

But they’ve always had something that catches my eye.

If you’re just stopping for a snack instead of a full meal, don’t miss my guide to the best snacks at EPCOT. Several of my favorite desserts from Sunshine Seasons made the list.

It’s Also One of My Favorite Places to Grab Something Healthy

This is probably going to sound weird…

But more than once, I’ve ended up at Sunshine Seasons because my blood sugar was starting to crash.

Instead of grabbing another cupcake or cookie, I’d pick up one of their little snack packs with hummus, crackers, and vegetables.

Was it the most exciting thing I ate all day?

No.

Did it do exactly what I needed it to do?

Absolutely.

One thing I really appreciate about Sunshine Seasons is that it has plenty of lighter, protein-forward options mixed in with the comfort food.

That’s not something every quick service restaurant at Disney does particularly well.

One Meal I’d Definitely Order Again

One of my favorite meals here was the Caprese Sandwich.

It came on a baguette with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil pesto, and a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

Simple.

Fresh.

Really good.

It’s another one of those meals that left me feeling satisfied without feeling like I needed a nap afterward.

And honestly…

That’s kind of my ideal lunch at EPCOT.

More Than Just Good Food

One thing I don’t think people appreciate enough about Sunshine Seasons is how comfortable it is.

Seriously.

Sometimes you’re not just looking for lunch.

You’re looking for a chair.

Air conditioning.

A place to refill your water bottle.

Maybe a restroom.

Sunshine Seasons checks every one of those boxes.

Sunshine Seasons Review

There is a ton of indoor seating, and unlike some of the quick service restaurants in EPCOT, I usually don’t have to spend ten minutes circling the dining room waiting for someone to leave.

It’s just…easy.

And after walking around EPCOT for half a day, easy is a beautiful thing.

The restrooms are right there.

The water bottle refill station is right there.

You can cool off for a little while before heading back out into the Florida heat.

Sometimes that’s worth almost as much as the food.

If you’d rather sit down for a meal while you’re in The Land Pavilion, Garden Grill Restaurant is just upstairs and one of my favorite character dining experiences at Walt Disney World.

Is Sunshine Seasons Worth It?

Absolutely.

Is it the restaurant I’d send someone to if they only had one meal in EPCOT?

Probably not.

That’s still going to be Les Halles or Regal Eagle for me.

But if you’re spending time in The Land pavilion—and let’s be honest, most people are because Soarin’ and Living with the Land are two of the park’s best attractions—Sunshine Seasons is an incredibly solid choice.

The food is consistently good.

There are healthier options than you’ll find at a lot of Disney quick service restaurants.

And the desserts are surprisingly excellent.

It’s one of those places that just quietly does everything well.

Final Thoughts

I think Sunshine Seasons is one of the most reliable quick service restaurants in EPCOT.

Maybe that’s the best word for it.

Reliable.

I know I’m going to find something that sounds good.

I know I’ll have plenty of places to sit.

I know I can cool off for a little while.

And I know I won’t leave hungry.

Honestly, I think every Disney park needs a restaurant like this.

It may not be the place you’re dreaming about before your vacation.

But when your feet hurt, your water bottle is empty, you’ve been standing in the sun for hours, and your stomach starts reminding you that it’s lunchtime…

You’ll be really glad it’s there.

And there’s a pretty good chance you’ll walk out with a Mickey-shaped macaron or a turtle brownie, too.

Because…

Willpower has a funny way of disappearing in EPCOT.
