The Worst Way To Waste Your Time In Disney World
The Worst Way to Waste your Time in Disney World
You have spent thousands of dollars to be at Disney World, so the last thing you want to do is waste your day in the park. However, despite this, many people will spend most of their time at Disney just waiting in line!
If you find yourself there on a busy day or during a peak time of the year, you could spend more than half your day just standing in line for a ride! Waiting in line is not a requirement for spending a day at the park! Here is how to avoid lines at Disney World.
Take advantage of ALL your Disney World FastPasses
Every person gets three FastPasses in advance when they book them through the My Disney Experience app or in the park. Taking advantage of a FastPass means that you can basically forget waiting for rides!
After you’ve used up your FastPasses, if any others are available, you can book more! Make sure that you book your FastPasses for early in the day so you can get some for the evening on top of your initial three.
Check wait times before you go to ride the ride
My Disney Experience shows you how long the wait time is for various rides throughout the park. Before you spend time walking over to a ride just to find that the wait time is four hours, check the app. You can also monitor wait times and go when it drops below an hour or two hours.
Before your trip, monitor wait times in the park so you can get a good idea of the average wait time for rides. New attractions and popular rides will usually be anywhere from two hours to four hours, and other rides will range between 10 minutes to one hour.
Ride popular attractions during offpeak times
Being at the parks at rope drop can allow you to walk onto rides such as Test Track and even Slinky Dog Dash! Offpeak times for the parks will be during meal times, late at night near closing, and early in the morning at park open.
Take advantage of these times to ride the popular rides that have really long wait times. This is where booking a late dining reservation or going for early magic hours will come in handy!
Take advantage of single rider lines
While riding with your friends might sound like the way to go, it’s not the only way to ride. Flight of Passage, Test Track, and many other rides offer a single rider line. This line is usually much shorter than the main line and you can still wait in line with your party. For the two minutes you’re on the ride you won’t be with them, but this can help you avoid many long lines you don’t have a FastPass for.
Waiting in lines is the worst way to waste your time in Disney World! If you follow these tips, you’ll cut down on the number of lines you have to wait in to make your vacation that much better.
