Make sure you are getting plenty of sleep

As a busy mom, it can be hard to get enough sleep. If you are a new mom, then I understand that this is likely not going to be the case for you. However, everyone else who doesn’t have a newborn should be trying to aim for at least seven hours of sleep each night. If you aren’t able to get enough sleep at night, there is no shame in taking a short nap. Just make sure that this doesn’t turn into a daily habit.

Get up and get moving

You don’t have to take a pilates class or hit the gym to get moving each day. Get up and go for a walk, even if it’s just around your house! Make sure you are scheduling time each day to get moving, or you will become lazy and less motivated throughout the day. If you work a regular 9-5 job, then consider taking breaks to get moving every hour.

Find something you enjoy and add it into your schedule like an appointment. Work with the time you have and be flexible. You may need to get up earlier to get in your time each day.

As long as you don’t go overboard with this mentality, you can still treat yourself and spoil yourself! This rewards yourself for all your hard work, even if others don’t say a word.
