Make your to-do list for the following day

Sit down with a notepad and write out the things you need to get done the next day. You can even assign them to different parts of the day to help you set aside time for each task.

Spend some time without a screen or device

Blue light can make it hard to fall asleep, so try to spend at least an hour or two before bed without your phone, TV, or tablets! This can be hard, but reading a book or doing something relaxing instead will help you sleep better!

Take a hot bath or shower

This will help you unwind for the evening and help prepare you for the next day while you’re at it!

Turn off your phone or put it on silent

Keep yourself off your phone at night by putting your phone on silent or turning it off altogether! This will help fight the temptation to scroll endlessly during the wee hours of the night.

Meal prep your breakfast and lunch

Before you head upstairs for the night, take some time to pack your children’s lunch and prepare something for breakfast. You can slice fruit, make sandwiches, and get everything ready to go so your mornings run a lot smoother.

Layout your clothes for the next day

Head to everyone’s closet and help lay out the clothes for the next day. If you are feeling super proactive, lay out your clothes for the week!

Put everything you need by the door

Put your purse, backpacks, and anything else you need to have to leave the house in the morning by the door. This way you won’t forget anything you need, and you’re ready to go in the morning!

Practice gratitude

Spend some time reflecting on your day or writing in a gratitude journal. Recall some of the good things from your day and things you are grateful for.

Make a bedtime routine

Create a routine for yourself that you can do each night before bed. These could be things like washing your face, taking off your makeup, and even a quick 15 minute clean before bed.

Do something for yourself

You don’t have to have a whole hour blocked for yourself, but take some time to do something for yourself. This should be something a little selfish that can give you time to recharge or better yourself.

You don’t have to do all ten every single night but try your best to work in as many of these as you can! You may find that you are more productive during the mornings or better prepared for the next day!
