First Impressions & Atmosphere
From the second you step out of the elevator, Topolino’s Terrace makes an impression. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in a ton of light. From the rooftop patio you have views that stretch from Caribbean Beach to EPCOT. This is a beautiful restaurant, but it isn’t overly fussy. So, if you are coming with kids, you won’t feel out of place.

The Cast Members were upbeat and kind when we checked in through the My Disney Experience app, and we were seated within minutes. I know the dining room was full, but it didn’t seem overly crowded because there was plenty of room between tables and walkways.
The Menu & Dining Experience
Menu Variety & Options
Breakfast here is a prix fixe setup: every guest gets the Breakfast à la Art pastry basket and selects a main entrée. The offerings cover a lot of ground. There is a plant-based sausage and quiche gruyère. Kids will love the Mickey waffle dippers.
There’s room to customize if needed (we noticed a few gluten-free and allergy-friendly swaps), and the menu has a mix of familiar comfort food and elevated twists inspired by the French Riviera and Italian flavors. There is a great choice of entrees for breakfast. I will say it was hard to choose between the options.
What We Ordered & What Stood Out
That pastry basket? Totally worth the hype. It arrived warm with flaky croissants, chocolate chip muffins, and crusty rolls served with honey butter, fruit preserves, and chocolate hazelnut spread.

I ordered the Wood Fired Steak and Eggs. The description from the menu says it is made with polenta, pomodoraccio tomatoes, roasted potatoes, and wild mushroom conserva with your choice of two eggs in any style. I think the steak is a filet mignon cut.

We also ordered a side of the Sour Cream Waffles, which were topped with roasted apples and a citrusy syrup. Soft, tangy, and not overly sweet. So good.

In the past you could basically order both of these entrees and get the entire waffle entree as a side. After COVID, Topolino’s cracked down on this loophole and you can’t do that anymore. But according to recent reports, you can still order one waffle (sour cream or Mickey-waffle variety) as a side. It just won’t be the entire entree.

My daughter ordered the Mickey-shaped Waffle Dippers. This was one of the most fun meals of the entire trip. We loved the dipping sauces on the artist palette. The only other kid’s meal that was this fun was the dessert at Be Our Guest.

Drinks & Add-Ons
You can stick to coffee and juice, but if you’re feeling fancy, the mimosa flight or cappuccino is the way to go. I loved that they serve authentic Italian espresso drinks—a small touch that fits the Riviera vibe beautifully. No dessert here, but between the pastry starter and sweet entrees, you won’t leave needing more.
Character Interactions
Let’s talk characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy all make appearances, each dressed in creative outfits that match their “artist” personas. Mickey Mouse wears a painter’s smock, Daisy’s a ballerina, Donald’s a sculptor. All of the characters are utterly adorable.

The pacing was great. We saw every character, and each one spent a generous amount of time at the table. No long waits, no rushed photos. And because the restaurant isn’t overly loud, it felt like you could actually enjoy the moment. Honestly, it might be my favorite character dining experience at Disney so far.

Service & Pace
Service here was warm, efficient, and very polished. Our server chatted through the menu options, kept drinks full, and timed everything beautifully. Even though this is technically signature dining, the pace felt natural and not stuffy at all.

Cost & Value
Let’s be real: this is a splurge. Breakfast runs $52 for adults and $33 for kids, plus gratuity. But if you’re using the Disney Dining Plan, it only takes one table service credit, and that’s actually a great value considering the food and characters.
If you’re staying nearby at one of the Skyliner Resorts like Riviera, Pop Century, Art of Animation, or Caribbean Beach, this meal is an easy win. You can hop on the Skyliner, enjoy a relaxing breakfast, and head straight to the parks.
When we dined here we were staying at Beach Club Resort. We actually walked the 5 minutes to International Gateway and hopped on the Skyliner there. It was really fast and convenient.
After your meal, definitely make time to visit the outdoor patio to see the stunning view! You won’t see Epcot fireworks at breakfast, but apparently you can totally time your dinner (not a character breakfast though) to see them in the evening.

Reservations & Availability
This one books up fast. If Topolino’s Terrace is on your bucket list, set that reminder for 60 days out and grab a morning slot as soon as it drops.
Walk-ups? Rare. Same-day? Unlikely. But if you’re flexible and willing to check My Disney Experience frequently, you might luck out.
👉 Walt Disney World tip: Book this for a late breakfast on your Hollywood Studios day, then Skyliner straight into the park. No buses needed!

Is It Kid-Friendly?
Totally, but it’s not your usual Disney breakfast chaos. The ambiance is mellow, the food is elevated but still appealing to younger guests, and the character interactions are some of the best we’ve had.
There are no dance breaks or loud songs. But there are meaningful moments with the Fab Four in stylish new outfits. If your kids love characters but don’t love sensory overload, this one’s a dream.
Location & Convenience
Topolino’s Terrace is perched on the top floor of Walt Disney World’s Riviera Resort, a Disney Vacation Club property that blends Italian name with Mediterranean coast charm.
You don’t need a park ticket to dine here, and getting there is easiest via the Skyliner. Guests at Pop Century, Art of Animation, or Caribbean Beach can glide in with no transfers. From elsewhere, a rideshare or drive is your best bet, especially if you’re coming from Animal Kingdom or Magic Kingdom.

Final Verdict: Should You Dine Here?
This breakfast checked every single box. Fantastic food? ✅ Stunning setting? ✅ Lovable characters without the chaos? ✅
If you’re after a character meal that feels more like fine dining than a food court, Topolino’s will be the perfect choice. It’s one of the most well-rounded table service restaurants on property.
#1 tip: Ride the Skyliner, soak in those rooftop views, and take your time. You’ll start your day feeling relaxed, full, and just a little bit fancy.
