Epcot’s Le Cellier Steakhouse Restaurant Review

Le Cellier Steakhouse review

I feel like Le Cellier Steakhouse is one of those Disney restaurants people talk about for years before you finally sit down and eat there. You know the conversation. “Ohhh the soup.” “The filet is amazing.” “It’s expensive but worth it.” I’ve had the famous soup and steak plenty of times at the Canada booth during the Food and Wine Festival, and every single time I thought, surely the restaurant can’t be that much better, right?

Wrong. Very wrong.

Dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse was one of those meals where everything just… hit. Not flashy. Not trendy. Just really, really good food served in a calm, cozy space that made us want to linger instead of rushing back out into Epcot’s World Showcase.

What It’s Like Inside Le Cellier

Le Cellier sits under stone arches, and the moment you walk in, it feels quieter. Cooler. Slower. The stone walls and low ceilings make it feel more like a tucked-away wine cellar than a theme park restaurant. Add the soft lighting and candle sconces, and it’s honestly kind of perfect after a long park day.

The dining room is broken into small sections, which helps a lot. Even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel loud or chaotic. This is not a character meal. No distractions. No spectacle. Just people eating very good food.

Our Cast Member was relaxed and friendly, the kind of service where you feel taken care of without feeling managed. They clearly knew the menu and didn’t rush us at all, which mattered because we were enjoying ourselves.

The Menu

Le Cellier serves the same menu at both lunch and dinner, which I actually appreciate. It isn’t a huge menu, and that works in its favor. It feels focused and intentional instead of padded out.

You’ll see:

  • Le Cellier filet mignon, New York strip steak, rib-eye steak
  • Specialty cuts like AAA Canadian tenderloin and bison strip loin
  • Comfort sides like mushroom risotto, celery root purée, and butter-braised carrots
  • Classic steakhouse extras like crispy onions, caramelized onions, and truffle-butter sauce
  • Fan favorites like Le Cellier signature poutine and Le Cellier beef bourguignon poutine

Nothing felt trendy or overworked. Just solid, confident cooking.

What We Ordered (And Why I’d Order It Again)

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup

Let’s not overthink this. The famous Canadian cheddar cheese soup is fantastic. Rich, savory, and perfectly salty without crossing into “too much.” It tastes indulgent without being heavy.

And yes, you dip the pretzel bread from Le Cellier’s bread service straight into the soup. That’s the move. Always.

Filet Mignon with Brussels Sprouts

For dinner, I ordered the 7-ounce filet mignon instead of the preset Le Cellier filet mignon so I could choose my sides. I wanted the brussels sprouts, and I’m so glad I did.

Note: The steak is basically the same between the a la carte version and the signature Le Cellier filet. The only real difference is the signature steak comes with pre-set sides. And the a la carte version allows you to pick your side and sauce. So, it’s more customizable.

The steak was one of those “no knife effort” steaks. Tender, buttery, and cooked exactly right. Easily one of the best steaks I’ve had at Walt Disney World, and I don’t say that lightly.

The brussels sprouts surprised me. Crispy, slightly sweet from the maple glaze, and not soggy or bitter. I would happily order them again even if I wasn’t ordering steak.

Other Dishes That Caught My Eye

As plates passed by our table, a few things stood out:

  • Hand-cut pomme frites topped with Canadian cheddar cheese curds
  • New York strip steak with bold sauces
  • Rib-eye steak for anyone who wants something richer
  • Mushroom risotto that looked very comforting

Everything coming out of the kitchen looked consistent, which says a lot.

Drinks, Wine, and Dessert

Le Cellier has one of the better wine lists inside the park, with options from Napa Valley, Russian River Valley, and Canadian regions like the Niagara Peninsula. If wine matters to you, this is a good place to slow down and enjoy it.

Beer drinkers will recognize Blanche de Chambly and Trois Pistoles, and there’s also the Le Cellier icewine flight if you want something uniquely Canadian.

Dessert Was Not Optional

I ordered the maple crème brûlée, and it was excellent. Creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet, with a perfect crackly top. One of the best desserts I’ve had in Epcot.

My friend ordered the chocolate mousse—the Chocolate Moose. It’s not listed on the current menu, but you can still order it. It’s kind of like a secret menu options. Chocolate mousse shaped like a moose sounds gimmicky, but it was actually really good.

Service & Meal Pace

Nothing felt rushed. We weren’t hovered over, and we weren’t ignored. Courses came out at a comfortable pace, and the whole meal felt relaxed—which is exactly what you want from a signature dining experience.

Cost, Value, and the Dining Plan Question

Le Cellier is expensive. There’s no sugarcoating that. But the quality of food made it feel like a splurge that was actually worth it.

If you’re using the Disney Dining Plan, dinner uses two table service credits. Whether that’s the best value depends on what you order, but steak + dessert makes it easier to justify.

Compared to some signature restaurants that feel pricey without delivering, Le Cellier still holds up.

Reservations & Practical Stuff

Le Cellier Steakhouse reservations can be tough, especially at dinner. Lunch is usually easier to book. Walk-ups are rare.

If this is important to you, book early and don’t gamble on availability.

Take a Few Minutes to Explore the Canada Pavilion

If you’re already headed to Canada Pavilion for Le Cellier, give yourself a little extra time to wander—this is one of the most underrated corners of Epcot’s World Showcase.

The gardens and pathways around Le Cellier are beautifully done. The landscaped area near the restaurant always reminds me of Butchart Gardens, with manicured greenery and tucked-away paths that feel surprisingly peaceful. Just beyond that, the winding walkway alongside the restaurant shifts gears and starts to feel more rugged, designed to echo the rocky canyons you’d find near Banff National Park.

Honestly, I got major Johnston Canyon vibes walking through this area—cool stone, rushing water sounds, and shaded paths that feel worlds away from the crowds. It’s a great spot to slow down, snap a few photos, or just let your meal settle before moving on.

For reference, these are photos from Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park and Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park.

Is This a Kid-Friendly Restaurant?

It’s fine for older kids who like steak and can sit through a longer meal. For younger kids, it may feel slow and a little boring. This is not a character meal, and there’s nothing interactive about it.

Final Thoughts: Is Le Cellier Worth It?

Yes. It still is.

If you want a calm dinner, one of the best steaks in Epcot, and a break from the chaos of the park, Canada’s Le Cellier is a great option. Some Disney restaurant hype fades over time. This one hasn’t.

Order the soup. Get the brussels sprouts. Save room for dessert.
