22 Best Magic Kingdom Snacks Ranked: What to Eat at Disney World

Planning a trip to Disney World? Here are my 22 favorite Magic Kingdom snacks ranked, from Dole Whip favorites to cheeseburger spring rolls and more.
Estimated reading time: 21 minutes
One of my favorite things about Magic Kingdom is that there is always something good to eat.
I mean… you can absolutely survive on three meals a day if you want to. But where’s the fun in that?
Sometimes I just want a snack while I’m waiting for the parade. Sometimes I want something sweet after lunch. And sometimes I don’t really want to stop for a full meal—I just want something that’s substantial enough to hold me over for a few hours.
Over the years, I’ve tried quite a few of the snacks around Magic Kingdom. Some have become “every single vacation” traditions. Others were good enough that I’d order them again if I happened to be nearby. And then there are a handful that… well… I probably wouldn’t spend my money on a second time.
So, here’s my completely subjective ranking of the 22 Magic Kingdom snacks I’ve personally tried.
If you’re looking for a full meal instead of a snack, be sure to check out my guide to the best Magic Kingdom quick service restaurants, where I rank every counter-service location in the park.
How I Put This List Together
A couple of things before we get started.
First, everything on this list is something I’ve actually eaten. There are plenty of Disney snack rankings out there that include every snack in the park whether the author has tried it or not. That’s not really my style. If I’m recommending something, it’s because I’ve ordered it myself.
Second, I’m not separating this into “snacks,” “treats,” “sweet snacks,” and “savory snacks.”
Honestly, I thought about it… and then I realized it was impossible.
Is the Nutella Fruit Waffle breakfast? Dessert? A snack? A light lunch?
Yes.
Some of these are basically desserts. Some are savory. Some are sweet but filling enough that I’d happily call them lunch. Rather than making a bunch of arbitrary categories, I decided to just rank everything together. Later in the article, I’ll share my favorite sweet snacks and my favorite savory or more substantial snacks if that’s what you’re looking for.
One other thing to keep in mind: Disney changes snack menus constantly.
Seriously… probably more than anything else in the parks.
There are snacks that I absolutely loved that don’t even exist anymore. The Caramel Mickey Cinnamon Roll at Westward Ho is gone. My friend’s favorite treat in all of Disney World—the Peter Pan Float—is gone too. New snacks show up every season, and old favorites disappear just as quickly.
So think of this list as a snapshot of the snacks I’ve tried over the years, knowing that Disney will probably change something again before long.
A Few Classics That Didn’t Make the Rankings
You’ll notice I didn’t rank regular popcorn, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, or Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches.
They’re classics for a reason, and honestly, they’re all good.
But if someone asked me what snack they should go out of their way to get at Magic Kingdom, none of those would make my list. You can buy those Mickey ice cream treats at grocery stores back home, so they don’t feel particularly unique to Disney.

The one exception is the specialty popcorn at Main Street Confectionery. That’s in a completely different category.
Actually… Main Street Confectionery deserves its own article someday. I only ranked the fancy popcorn, but you could spend twenty minutes wandering around that store looking at caramel apples, fudge, cookies, cotton candy, chocolates, and every other sugary creation Disney can dream up. Even if I don’t buy much, I almost always stop in to see what’s new.

Now, let’s get to the rankings.
22. Cherry Cola Churro (AstroFizz)
I’ll be honest—I wanted to love this one more than I actually did.
The idea is fun. Disney does a great job coming up with creative churro flavors, and this one certainly looked the part. Unfortunately, the cherry cola flavor just didn’t do much for me. It wasn’t awful, but it also wasn’t something I’d ever go back for.
If you’re a huge churro fan or you’re curious about limited-time flavors, give it a shot. Otherwise, I’d spend my snack budget elsewhere.

21. Tiana’s Famous Beignets (Golden Oak Outpost)
This one might surprise some people.
They’re perfectly fine beignets, but if you’ve ever had the famous beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter, these just don’t compare.
They’re a fun nod to Tiana and they’re worth trying if you’re in Frontierland, but I wouldn’t make a special trip across the park for them. If you’re staying at French Quarter during your vacation, save your beignet craving for Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory instead.

20. Caramel Apple Doughnuts (The Friar’s Nook)
These weren’t bad.
In fact, I think that’s probably the best way to describe the bottom few snacks on this list. They’re perfectly enjoyable—I just found myself wishing I’d ordered something else.
The caramel apple flavor sounded better than it actually tasted, and the doughnuts were a little heavier than I expected. I’d eat them again if someone handed me one, but I probably wouldn’t spend my money on them a second time.
I am used to fresh hot apple cider donuts from fall festivals… these were no where close to that amazing taste.

19. Sweet Corn Mousse (Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café)
I appreciate Disney trying something a little different here.
This snack was creative, and I actually enjoyed the sweet-and-savory combination more than I expected.
That said, it never really came together for me. It wasn’t bad by any stretch, but compared to everything else on this list, it just wasn’t memorable enough for me to seek it out again.

18. The Grey Stuff Cupcake (Gaston’s Tavern)
“Try the Grey Stuff. It’s delicious.”
Well…
It’s good.
Maybe this is a victim of impossibly high expectations thanks to Beauty and the Beast, but I walked away feeling a little underwhelmed.
If you’re a huge Disney fan, it’s absolutely worth trying once just for the experience. But as an actual cupcake? I think Disney has plenty of better desserts around Magic Kingdom.
And yes… the Grey Stuff itself is tasty.
I just don’t think the cupcake is one of the park’s standout desserts.

17. Crème Brûlée Croissant (Gaston’s Tavern)
I know this one has a loyal following.
The croissant was flaky, the filling was rich, and I completely understand why people enjoy it.
For me, though, it was just a little too rich. After a few bites, I was ready to move on.
If you’re sharing it with someone, I think it’s a much stronger choice than trying to eat the whole thing yourself.

16. Mac & Cheese Hand Pie (The Friar’s Nook) (Discontinued)
This one is unfortunately no longer available, which is a shame because I actually thought it was pretty solid.
Was it life-changing?
No.
But it was warm, comforting, portable, and exactly the kind of thing that made a good park snack when you didn’t want to stop for a full meal.
I wouldn’t have ranked it among Magic Kingdom’s elite snacks, but I was still disappointed to see Disney remove it from the menu. Hopefully it makes a comeback someday.

15. Baseball Brownie (Casey’s Corner)
If you’re a chocolate lover, this one is definitely worth considering.
The Baseball Brownie is exactly what it sounds like—a rich brownie decorated to look like a baseball. It’s fun, it’s shareable, and it’s a great option if you’re looking for something sweet after grabbing lunch at Casey’s Corner.
That said, at the end of the day, it’s still a brownie.
It’s a good brownie, but there are more unique desserts at Magic Kingdom that I’d choose first.

14. I Lava You Float (Sunshine Tree Terrace)
If you’ve never had an I Lava You Float, it’s basically sunshine in a cup.
The combination of tropical flavors makes it incredibly refreshing, especially on one of those hot, humid Florida afternoons when you feel like you’re melting.
The only reason it isn’t higher on my list is because there’s another float in Adventureland that completely steals the show for me… and we’ll get to that one a little later.
Still, if you’re looking for something cold and refreshing, this is an excellent choice.

13. Aurora Cone (Storybook Treats)
Storybook Treats doesn’t get nearly as much attention as some of the other dessert locations in Magic Kingdom, but it probably should.
The Aurora Cone is one of those snacks that’s almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
Beyond looking great, it’s a fun ice cream treat that feels a little different from your standard soft serve cone. It’s refreshing, colorful, and a nice option if you’re wandering through Fantasyland.
Would I choose it over my very favorite Disney desserts?
Probably not.
But I’d absolutely order it again.

12. Cheddar, Bacon, and Ranch Tots (The Friar’s Nook)
Sometimes simple is exactly what you want.
These loaded tots are crispy, cheesy, salty, and incredibly satisfying after you’ve been walking around Magic Kingdom for half the day.
They’re also one of the better snacks to share if you’re traveling with family or friends.
If you’re craving something savory instead of another sugary dessert, this is a really solid choice.

11. Cheshire Cat Tail (Cheshire Café)
This is one of those snacks that’s just… fun.
The Cheshire Cat Tail is flaky, chocolatey, and drizzled with colorful icing that makes it instantly recognizable.
It isn’t overly complicated, but it doesn’t need to be.
It’s one of those treats that fits the whimsical atmosphere of Fantasyland perfectly, and it’s become a favorite for a lot of Disney fans over the years. I completely understand why.

10. Cream Cheese Pretzel (The Lunching Pad)
I know this snack has a bit of a cult following, and honestly… I get it.
The warm pretzel paired with the creamy filling is simple but incredibly satisfying. It’s also one of those snacks that’s filling enough to tide you over without committing to a full quick-service meal.
If you’re looking for something savory that’s easy to eat while you’re walking around Tomorrowland, this is one of the better options in the park.

9. All-Star Sundae (Plaza Ice Cream Parlor)
If you’re going to stop for ice cream on Main Street, you might as well go all in.
The All-Star Sundae is exactly the kind of classic ice cream sundae you’d hope for at Disney—generous portions, plenty of toppings, and absolutely shareable unless you’re really hungry.
I especially love grabbing one in the evening and sitting on Main Street while soaking in the atmosphere.
Between the music, the castle in the background, and a really good sundae, it’s hard to beat.

8. Ham and Gruyère Sandwich (Gaston’s Tavern)
This might be one of the most underrated snacks in Magic Kingdom.
I know most people head to Gaston’s Tavern for the giant cinnamon roll or one of the desserts, but don’t overlook the Ham and Gruyère Sandwich.
It’s simple—a warm sandwich with ham and melted Gruyère cheese—but sometimes simple is exactly what you want. It’s filling without being overly heavy, and it’s one of my favorite options when I want something more substantial but don’t necessarily want to commit to a full quick-service meal.
If you’re touring Fantasyland around lunchtime, this is an excellent choice.
Note: Disney recently changed this flat bread version to a sandwich version.. but it’s essentially the same thing.

7. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls (Adventureland Spring Roll Cart)
These have developed a bit of a cult following over the years, and after trying them, I completely understand why.
Think of everything you like about a cheeseburger—beef, cheese, pickles, onions—all wrapped inside a crispy spring roll.
It sounds a little strange until you take that first bite.
They’re crispy, cheesy, savory, and incredibly easy to eat while you’re walking around the park. They’re also one of the few snacks at Magic Kingdom that consistently develops a line, so if you happen to walk by when there isn’t much of a wait, I’d absolutely take advantage of it.
These are one of those snacks that I would happily order again every trip.

6. Rapunzel Sundae (Storybook Treats)
Storybook Treats quietly serves some of the best ice cream creations in Magic Kingdom, and the Rapunzel Sundae is my favorite of the bunch.
First of all, it’s gorgeous.
Disney always does a great job making their specialty sundaes look like they belong in a fairy tale, and this one is no exception. But unlike some Instagram-famous desserts, this one actually tastes as good as it looks.
It’s creamy, refreshing, and just plain fun to eat.
If you’re looking for a memorable dessert in Fantasyland, this is one I’d absolutely recommend.

Storybook Treats is located in Fantasyland, making it a fun place to grab dessert after spending time meeting princesses or riding nearby attractions. If seeing royalty is part of your day, don’t miss my guide to where to meet Disney princesses at Disney World.
5. Main Street Confectionery Fancy Popcorn
If you’ve only walked through Main Street Confectionery without stopping, you’re missing out.
The store is packed with just about every sugary treat you can imagine, but my favorite thing there is the fancy popcorn.
Whether it’s coated in caramel, chocolate, colorful candy pieces, or seasonal flavors, it’s one of those snacks that’s dangerously easy to keep eating.
I also love that it’s shareable. Grab a bag and pass it around while you’re waiting for a parade or heading toward your next attraction.
Honestly, I almost never leave Main Street Confectionery empty-handed. Even if I’m not buying the popcorn that day, I usually find some other little treat that follows me out of the store.

Main Street Confectionery is also a fun stop before or after meeting Mickey at Town Square Theater. If meeting Mickey is on your must-do list, check out my guide to where to meet Mickey Mouse at Disney World.
4. Candied Bacon Skewer (Golden Oak Outpost)
This is one of those snacks that makes people stop and say…
“Wait… candied bacon?”
Yes.
And it’s fantastic.
The sweet-and-savory combination works so much better than you might expect. The bacon is thick, smoky, slightly chewy, and coated in just enough sweetness to make it feel like a Disney snack without becoming dessert.
Unfortunately, this is another example of Disney changing menus. It has disappeared and returned over the years, so you’ll want to check whether it’s available during your visit.
Whenever I see it on the menu, though, I’m ordering it.

3. Hushpuppies (Columbia Harbour House)
Sometimes the simplest snacks end up being the most memorable.
These hushpuppies are one of those snacks.
They’re hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and absolutely addictive. Honestly, if Columbia Harbour House sold a bucket of these, I’d probably order it.
They’re also one of those snacks that pair perfectly with a relaxing break inside the restaurant, especially when you need to get out of the Florida heat for a little while.
I know it probably sounds funny to rank hushpuppies this high.
I don’t care.
They’re that good.

2. Nutella Fruit Waffle (Sleepy Hollow)
If you’ve read just about any list of the best Magic Kingdom snacks, you’ve probably seen the Nutella Fruit Waffle.
And for once… the hype is justified.
The warm waffle is topped with a generous spread of Nutella, fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, making it one of the most satisfying snacks in the entire park.
In fact, I’d argue it’s more than a snack.
It’s easily substantial enough to count as breakfast, a light lunch, or even an early dinner if you’re not especially hungry. There have been plenty of days at Disney when this was exactly what I wanted instead of sitting down for a full meal.
I also love its location. Sleepy Hollow sits right in Liberty Square overlooking Cinderella Castle, so it’s a great place to slow down for a few minutes, enjoy your food, and soak in the atmosphere before heading off to your next attraction.
The only reason it isn’t my number one snack?
Because nothing beats my favorite Disney tradition…

1. Pineapple Upside-Down Cake (Aloha Isle)
If I leave Disney World without eating one of these…
…I honestly feel like my vacation wasn’t complete.
I’m not kidding.
Out of every snack I’ve eaten at Magic Kingdom, this is the one I have to get at least once every trip.
If you’ve only been to Aloha Isle for a classic Dole Whip, do yourself a favor and branch out. The Pineapple Upside-Down Cake combines warm, buttery pineapple cake with pineapple soft serve, creating one of the best desserts I’ve had anywhere at Walt Disney World.
It’s sweet without being overwhelming, the warm cake contrasts perfectly with the cold soft serve, and every bite somehow tastes like a tropical vacation.
I’ve tried a lot of Disney snacks over the years.
This is still the one I crave when I’m back home.
If someone asked me for exactly one snack recommendation at Magic Kingdom, this would be it.
Every single time.

My Favorite Sweet Snacks at Magic Kingdom
If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, these are the five desserts I’d recommend first:
- Pineapple Upside-Down Cake (Aloha Isle)
- Fancy Popcorn (Main Street Confectionery)
- Rapunzel Sundae (Storybook Treats)
- All-Star Sundae (Plaza Ice Cream Parlor)
- Cheshire Cat Tail (Cheshire Café)
That’s not to say the other desserts aren’t worth trying—these are simply the ones I’d happily order again and again.
My Favorite Savory (or Meal-Sized) Snacks
Sometimes you don’t need a full quick-service meal—you just need something filling enough to keep you going until dinner.
These are the snacks I’d recommend:
- Nutella Fruit Waffle (Yes, it’s sweet, but it’s surprisingly filling.)
- Hushpuppies (Columbia Harbour House)
- Candied Bacon Skewer (Golden Oak Outpost, when available)
- Cheeseburger Spring Rolls (Adventureland Spring Roll Cart)
- Ham and Gruyère Sandwich (Gaston’s Tavern)
If I were planning a full day at Magic Kingdom, I could honestly build an entire day’s worth of eating around those five snacks.
A Few Snacks Still on My Disney Bucket List
Even after several trips to Magic Kingdom, there are still a few popular snacks I haven’t tried yet.
They’re definitely on my list for a future visit:
- Chili Cheese Fries from Casey’s Corner
- Chicken & Waffles from Sleepy Hollow
- The Tropical Serenade Float from Aloha Isle
- The famous Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern
- More of the seasonal offerings from Sunshine Tree Terrace
- Something from Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
The fun thing about Disney is that there’s always something new to discover. Menus change constantly, seasonal snacks come and go, and every visit seems to bring another excuse to try something different.
Know Before You Go
Before you start planning your Magic Kingdom snack strategy, here are a few things that are helpful to know.
Disney snacks change all the time. Seriously—they probably change more often than anything else in the parks. Seasonal treats come and go, menu items are discontinued, and new snacks seem to appear every few months. If you have your heart set on a particular snack, it’s always a good idea to double-check that it’s still available before your trip.
Some of the most popular snacks develop long lines. The Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, Sleepy Hollow, and Aloha Isle can all get busy, especially in the middle of the day. If you happen to walk by and the line is short, that’s usually a good time to grab your snack rather than waiting until everyone else has the same idea.
Don’t be afraid to share. Disney portions can be surprisingly generous. Many of these snacks are easily shareable, which is a great way to try more things throughout the day without filling up after your first stop.
Leave room for snacks. I know it sounds obvious, but it’s easy to book a big breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then realize you’re too full to enjoy the foods you’ve been looking forward to all day. If snacking is part of your Disney strategy (and it definitely is for me!), consider sharing meals or planning lighter breakfasts and lunches so you can save room for a few special treats.
Use the My Disney Experience app. It’s the easiest way to check current menus, locations, and operating hours. Since Disney changes offerings so frequently, the app is usually the most reliable place to confirm whether a particular snack is still available.
Final Thoughts
Magic Kingdom has no shortage of great snacks, and honestly, there aren’t many on this list that I’d tell someone to avoid. Most of them were good—I just liked some more than others.
If you’re visiting for the first time and only have room in your budget (or your stomach) for a few snacks, I’d start with the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, the Nutella Fruit Waffle, the Hushpuppies, and the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls. Those four alone would make for a pretty incredible day of snacking around the park.
And if you’re anything like me, don’t be surprised if one snack turns into three… because somehow there’s always room for “just one more” at Magic Kingdom. 🍍🍦
