Review of EPCOT’s Geo-82 Lounge Inside Spaceship Earth

There are Disney lounges that feel like a fun add-on… and then there are lounges that feel like a whole new experience. Geo-82 firmly lands in the second category.
This was our first time visiting the brand-new Geo-82 lounge, tucked inside one of the most beloved attractions at Walt Disney World. From the moment we stepped into the waiting area, it felt clear this wasn’t just another bar added to a theme park. This is a polished, adults-only lounge designed to feel intentional, immersive, and- dare I say… kind of special.
And honestly? We timed it perfectly.

What Geo-82 Is (and Why the Name Matters)
The name Geo-82 pays homage to the opening year of EPCOT’s most iconic structure- Spaceship Earth, debuted in 1982. That nod alone tells you what Disney was aiming for here: a lounge that honors the legacy of this timeless EPCOT icon while still fitting into the future of EPCOT and Project Tomorrow.
This is a new part of Spaceship Earth, but it doesn’t feel flashy or trendy. Instead, it feels thoughtful—almost like a love letter to EPCOT’s storied history and its evolution over time.

The Space: Not Literal, But Absolutely Intentional
One thing I loved immediately: the walls are not the actual geodesic tiles from the outside of Spaceship Earth—but they’re designed to give you the look and feel of them. Rich textures, metallic tones, and layered surfaces echo the attraction without copying it outright.
It feels upscale. Quiet. Very adults-only lounge energy.
This is not a place for strollers or quick pit stops. It’s intimate by design, with wraparound windows that give you new views of Luminous over World Showcase Lagoon if you book the Geo-82 Fireworks Experience.
We didn’t book fireworks—but we accidentally got something just as memorable.

That Storm Moment (Still Thinking About It)
About five minutes after we were seated, the skies opened up. And I don’t mean “Florida drizzle.” I mean full, wall-to-wall August downpour.
While I felt genuinely bad for everyone caught outside, sitting inside Geo-82 during that storm was incredible. The windows wrap around the entire lounge, so you could watch the rain sweep across EPCOT while staying completely dry and cozy. We felt snug as bugs in a rug.
It was one of those unexpected Disney moments that sticks with you, and honestly made the experience feel even more special.

The Drinks: Elevated, Thoughtful, and Not Overdone
I am not a huge drinker at all, which actually makes this worth mentioning: the Peach Shrub Whisky Smash was excellent. Bright, balanced, and refreshing without being sweet, it felt approachable but still interesting. The peach preserves worked beautifully, and it didn’t feel heavy at all.

For bourbon fans, Geo-82’s beverage program is clearly a highlight. There’s an exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight, prohibition-style bourbons, and thoughtful ingredients like Hella Cocktail Co. orange bitters, Mexican chocolate bitters, Lustau Amontillado sherry, and Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth.

You’ll also find zero-proof cocktails using Seedlip Garden and other non-alcoholic spirits, which I appreciated. This lounge doesn’t assume everyone wants—or needs—a full bar experience.

The Food: Small Plates That Actually Deliver
We shared two menu items, and both were absolutely delicious.
The charcuterie plate was beautifully done, with artisanal cheeses, thoughtful accompaniments, and just the right portion size for sharing. Nothing felt random or filler.

The funghi flatbread was the real standout for us. Rich, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and honestly more memorable than some table-service entrees I’ve had recently. It felt intentional—like someone actually cared about how it tasted, not just how it photographed.

Other menu items include small plates like truffled ahi tuna, jumbo lump crab gâteau, and tasting towers of savory light bites. This isn’t “theme park food.” It’s a polished selection of small bites meant to pair with the drinks.

Oh, and after you are done with your experience you are treated to a hot towel experience on the way out the door. That was such a nice touch!

Reservations, Logistics, and What to Know
Geo-82 requires advance reservations, and availability is limited due to the intimate setting. You’ll book through the My Disney Experience app, and check-in feels very streamlined with cast members guiding you through the process.
This is not included on the Disney Dining Plan, and it’s clearly positioned as a premium experience—similar in spirit to other Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired taverns and corporate-style lounges Disney has introduced recently.

Who Geo-82 Is Perfect For
This lounge is an excellent fit if you:
- Want an adults-only EPCOT experience
- Love craft cocktails and innovative beverages
- Appreciate subtle theming and nostalgic nods
- Are celebrating a special occasion
- Want a quiet break from the theme park chaos
It’s not for kids, quick snacks, or casual drop-ins. But if you’re looking for something elevated and different, this is one of the best places EPCOT has added in years.

Final Thoughts: A Perfect Conclusion to the Day
Geo-82 felt like the perfect conclusion to our EPCOT day. Between the storm outside, the excellent food, and the calm, intimate setting, it stood out as one of those experiences that makes Walt Disney World feel layered and grown-up.
Would I go again? Absolutely. I’d love a second visit—maybe next time for fireworks, or to explore more of the menu.
For a first look at EPCOT’s newest lounge, Geo-82 delivered in a way that felt thoughtful, immersive, and genuinely memorable.
