These fun locations offer fantastic options for Maryland New Year’s Eve Celebrations that are family friendly. 2023 Dates!
Can you believe the year is already coming to an end? Wow. If you are like us, your living room still has wrapping paper carnage and plates of Christmas cookies litter the counter tops. Christmas is glorious.. and exhausting.
And then less than a week later, BAM– it’s New Year’s Eve! If you are looking for a great option to celebrate the New Year with your kids, these events are sure to be fun! I have done a fair amount of research to include as many fun sounding family friendly New Year’s Eve Celebrations as I can.

1. Port Discovery- New Years at Noon
Port Discovery puts on an awesome New Years at Noon event! Help Port Discovery ring in 2024 with the annual Noontime New Year Event.
Take a family photo in front of the New Year’s Eve backdrop. Make your own confetti cannon or number template. Write or draw your resolution on our Wish Tree. Watch a comedy show and make your own jokes or listen to stories and play musical instruments. Participate in a sensory exploration. And don’t forget to countdown to noon! This year, Port Discovery will also offer a sensory friendly countdown.
Time: 10am-5pm with the ball drop at noon.
2. Maryland Science Center- Midnight Noon
Everyone’s favorite New Year celebration is back! Celebrate the ball drop before bedtime at the Maryland Science Center at Midnight Noon. Join in the festivities before we rock in the New Year to the tunes of the popular kids band, Marsha and the Positrons. The entire science center will be open and ready for you to explore. All activities are free with paid admission and completely free to members.

3. Eco Adventures
Eco Adventures is having a New Year’s at NOON!

4. Artsy Partsy Midnight at Noon
Artsy Partsy‘s Midnight at noon is a great way to ring in the New Year before bedtime! We’ve got fun crafts, games, spin art and more! Our Artsy Partsy ball drops at 12 o’clock noon on Tuesday December 31st and each participant will help us fill our private courtyard with bubbles!

5. Midnight at 7: Fireworks and Fun! Symphony of Lights
Join us to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the entire family! We will have food, activities, music and of course fireworks at 7 PM. Don’t miss your last chance to walk through the Symphony of Lights course.

6. Kiddie Scoop Ball Drop- The Charmery
The Charmery’s Kiddie Scoop Ball Drop Continues Tradition!
This is the 9th year that The Charmery at Union Collective will host their Kiddie Scoop Ball Drop. That means special Glitter Tattoos, Charmery Popcorn Bar, New Year’s ice cream flavors, beer from Union Craft Brewing, after-hours at Vent Coffee Roasters, magic in the air, plus DJ Sir Scoops-A-Lot spinning killer tunes to ring in the New Year!
Doors open at 530pm and the ball drop is at 8pm.
Admission is free and we will be scooping all sorts of special New Year’s flavors!

7. Krumpe’s Do-nut Drop in Historic Hagerstown
Middletown Valley Bank presents the Krumpe’s Donut Drop to kick off the 2024 New Year in the square of Downtown Hagerstown, complete with fireworks and live music from DJ Sidekick!

Ocean City pulls out all the stops for New Year’s Eve. Fireworks start promptly at midnight at Northside Park which is also the location for Winterfest of Lights.
15. Berlin New Years Eve Celebration
2 NYE ball drop celebrations! Kids Ball Drop at 6pm on the corner of Pitts and Main Streets. Adult celebration starts at 10pm with DJs Big Al Reno & Schwab on the stage with music and a ball drop at midnight. Event by Town of Berlin and Berlin Main Street, Berlin Arts and Entertainment.
16. New Years Eve – Countdown to Noon! at Urban Air Adventure Park in Frederick
There are two New Years events!
Event #1: 5-9pm
We’re doing a special New Years Eve Countdown at 8:30pm with a balloon drop to celebrate the New Year. No special ticket is needed, just regular park admission!
As we countdown the new year (at 8pm) a confetti will drop from the ceiling.
Event #2: 11am-noon
For our younger guests, we’re doing a countdown to noon with a big balloon drop!

20. Happy Noon Year’s Eve at Meadowside Nature Center
Happy “Noon” Year’s Eve! Does your bedtime arrive before midnight, but you still want to celebrate the New Year? Then join us as we do an activity every 15 min until the clock strikes noon or two. Bring your favorite juice drink to toast to the New Year and we will provide the activities and a small snack.

21. NYE Ball Drop at Cabin Fever Play Centre in Cambridge
Bring the kiddos out to celebrate the New Year, wayyy before midnight! This year will be our 5th Annual New Years Eve Ball Drop, so of course we have to make it extra special!!
This year we’ll have a NEW BALL, a 360 Photobooth, awesome swag, and more!
The Party begins at 5pm, with the Ball dropping at approx. 7pm.
This is at ticket-only event so you must purchase your tickets ahead of time (available 12/19/22). Children are $18 per ticket. 2 Adults are free per family. Additional adults are $6 each.

22. Noon Year’s Eve Party- My Gym Timonium
Who is ready to celebrate the beginning of 2024?!
Not all of our little ones (and some of us adults for that matter), can make it all the way until midnight for the New Year festivities. That’s no reason not to celebrate!
A three hour DROP-OFF (1015am-115pm), featuring games, songs, dances…all leading up to a balloon drop at noon!

This is a new event for St. Mary’s County! December 31st from 10am-1pm. Cost $12/person and meant for kids ages 2-12 and their parents/guardians.

Bring the kids to Piney Point on December 31 and enjoy a countdown to NOON – a party just for them! Enjoy lots of New Year’s Eve activities among the historic workboats at the Maritime Building here at Piney Point, including themed crafts/activities, a sock skate, snacks/beverages and lots more – plus a colorful ice “ball drop” at noon! 24. Noon Year’s Eve at the B&O Railroad Museum
The B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore is celebrating the new year before nap time. Bring your family and friends for a big dance party at the B&O, where there will be games galore like ring toss, cornhole, and a New Year’s themed scavenger hunt!
Craft stations to make party hats, pipe cleaner firework rings, and more photo props will be available to strike a pose and record memories at our photo station.
Then, as they countdown to noon, they will welcome in the New Year with celebratory confetti, streamers, a (juice box) toast, and, of course, a ball drop!
