Best Quick Service Restaurants at Hollywood Studios (Ranked)

Looking for the best Hollywood Studios quick service restaurants? Here are my honest rankings, favorite meals, insider tips, and where I’d eat again.
Estimated reading time: 23 minutes
Let’s be honest—Hollywood Studios has a bit of an identity crisis when it comes to food.
Unlike EPCOT, it isn’t packed with dozens of unique restaurants and festival booths. And unlike Magic Kingdom, it doesn’t have nearly as many quick service locations scattered throughout the park.
But here’s the good news.
The quick service restaurants that Hollywood Studios does have are actually pretty good.
In fact, a couple of them rank among my favorite quick service restaurants in all of Walt Disney World.
Over the years, I’ve eaten at most of the major quick service locations throughout Hollywood Studios. Some have become places I look forward to visiting every trip. Others…well…I’m glad I tried them once for research, but they’re not restaurants I’ll be making a special trip back to anytime soon.
Before we dive in, I want to mention something that makes this guide a little different.
Unlike some Disney food reviewers, I haven’t eaten every single item on every menu—and honestly, I don’t think that’s necessary. Most families aren’t ordering one of everything. They’re looking for one good meal before heading to the next attraction.
Everything in this guide is based on dishes I’ve personally eaten, along with years of visiting Hollywood Studios and figuring out which restaurants are actually worth your time. Whenever there are popular menu items I haven’t tried yet, I’ll tell you that too.
Because choosing a quick service restaurant isn’t just about the food.
It’s also about questions like:
- Is there air conditioning?
- Is there enough seating?
- Can you mobile order?
- Is it a good place to escape one of Florida’s afternoon rainstorms?
- Is it conveniently located between attractions?
- Is it worth going out of your way for?
Sometimes those practical details matter just as much as what’s on your tray.
One thing you’ll probably notice throughout this guide is that I mention air conditioning a lot.
That’s because Hollywood Studios can feel incredibly hot. Outside of Galaxy’s Edge, there simply isn’t as much shade as you’ll find in some of the other Disney parks. After you’ve spent an hour walking through Toy Story Land or waiting in line for Slinky Dog Dash, a cool place to sit down can honestly feel just as valuable as a great meal.
With that said, here’s how I’d rank the quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.
1. Woody’s Lunch Box

If I could only recommend one quick service restaurant at Hollywood Studios, this would be it.
Woody’s Lunch Box isn’t trying to serve an enormous menu. In fact, it’s one of the smaller menus in the park.
The difference is that just about everything they do…they do really well.
Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or even a hearty snack, Woody’s Lunch Box consistently delivers some of the best food in Hollywood Studios.

I’ve eaten here several times, and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered.
For breakfast, the Breakfast Totchos have developed something of a cult following, and for good reason. They’re hearty, flavorful, and a fun twist on traditional breakfast potatoes. My friend absolutely loves them.
Personally, though?
I actually prefer arriving right as breakfast changes over to lunch.
That’s because I can order the Lunch Totchos.
I know.
Totchos sound like something that should be greasy, heavy, and maybe even a little gross.
They’re not.
They’re ridiculously good.
The crispy potato barrels topped with chili, cheese, and all the other toppings somehow come together into one of my favorite quick service meals at Disney World. It’s comfort food in the best possible way.

I’ve also had the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup, and honestly, it’s hard to beat if you’re looking for classic comfort food. The grilled cheese is perfectly toasted, the tomato soup pairs with it beautifully, and it’s one of those meals that just hits the spot after a busy morning in the park.
Of course, no visit to Woody’s Lunch Box feels complete without trying one of the Lunch Box Tarts.

They come in both classic and seasonal flavors throughout the year. I’ve tried a couple of different varieties, and while they’re definitely on the sweet side, they’re also fun, nostalgic, and easily shareable if you don’t want to tackle one by yourself.
One thing to know before you decide to eat here is that seating can be a challenge.
Unlike many of the other restaurants in Hollywood Studios, there isn’t any indoor dining.
Everything is outside.
There are umbrellas, fans, and some covered seating areas, but on a hot July afternoon, you’re still eating outside in the Florida heat.
Because of that, I actually enjoy eating here earlier in the morning, later in the evening, or during cooler months of the year. If it’s ninety-five degrees with high humidity, I may choose one of the indoor restaurants simply because I want the air conditioning.
Another thing I’d strongly recommend is using Mobile Order.
Technically, you don’t have to.
Practically speaking?
You’ll probably be glad you did.
Woody’s Lunch Box is one of the most popular quick service restaurants in the park, and mobile ordering makes the entire process much smoother.
Even with the seating limitations, Woody’s Lunch Box remains my favorite quick service restaurant in Hollywood Studios.
The food is consistently excellent, and it’s one of those places I genuinely look forward to eating every trip.
Best for:
- Breakfast
- Totchos
- Grilled cheese and tomato soup
- Lunch Box Tarts
- Mobile ordering
- Toy Story Land
2. ABC Commissary

If you had asked longtime Disney fans about ABC Commissary ten years ago, you probably wouldn’t have heard many glowing reviews.
Fortunately, things have changed.
Disney completely revamped the menu a few years ago, and based on my experience, the restaurant is significantly better than its old reputation would suggest.
I’ve eaten here twice, and both meals were excellent.
The first time, I ordered the Shrimp Tacos.
They were fresh, flavorful, and honestly much better than I expected from a theme park quick service restaurant. I’d happily order them again.

On another visit, I decided to order one of the Kids Meals.
And here’s a little Disney tip…
Adults can order Kids Meals too.
If you don’t want another giant theme park lunch, they’re actually a fantastic option.
I ordered the Grilled Cheese Kids Meal with chips and a Cuties orange, and it ended up being the perfect portion. The grilled cheese was surprisingly delicious, and I left feeling satisfied without feeling like I needed a nap afterward.
ABC Commissary is probably best known for its Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese.

I haven’t tried it because I’m not a huge buffalo sauce fan, but it has a lot of devoted fans, so it’s definitely on many people’s must-order lists.
I’ve also picked up one of their frozen lemonade-style specialty drinks, and it was a refreshing treat on a hot afternoon.
But honestly?
The biggest reason I love ABC Commissary isn’t even the food.
It’s the air conditioning.
Seriously.
Air conditioning…. air conditioning.
And yes.. air conditioning.

If you’ve spent several hours walking around Hollywood Studios in the middle of the summer, you understand exactly why that matters.
The restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and one of my favorite places to cool off during the hottest part of the day.
It’s also centrally located.
Whether you’re heading toward Toy Story Land, Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, or even the new Monstropolis area, ABC Commissary is an easy place to stop for lunch without feeling like you’re trekking across the entire park.
It’s also one of my favorite places to duck into when one of Florida’s famous afternoon rainstorms rolls through.
You definitely won’t be the only person with that idea, but there’s enough seating that we’ve always managed to find a table.

Like most Disney quick service restaurants, Mobile Order is available and something I’d recommend using during busy times.
Between the updated menu, comfortable dining room, and convenient location, ABC Commissary has quietly become one of my favorite quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.
Best for:
- Air-conditioned breaks
- Shrimp tacos
- Kids Meals
- Escaping afternoon rain
- Central park location
- Mobile ordering
3. Backlot Express

Backlot Express probably won’t make many people’s list of the best Disney restaurants.
But honestly?
I think it deserves a lot more credit than it gets.
I’ve heard plenty of people dismiss this restaurant over the years, including a friend of mine who simply isn’t a fan.
My experience has been completely different.
The last time I ate here, I ordered one of their chicken rice bowls, and it was surprisingly good.

It wasn’t overly heavy, it tasted fresh, and after several days of theme park food, it actually felt like I was eating something reasonably healthy.
Sometimes that’s exactly what I’m looking for.
I’ve also eaten the famous Wookiee Cookie here.
Twice.
And interestingly enough, I had two completely different experiences.

The first time I ordered it, I wasn’t impressed.
It tasted overly sweet, the cookie itself seemed a little dry, and I honestly didn’t understand why everyone loved it so much.
The second time?
Completely different.
The cookie was much softer, much fresher, and the whole dessert was significantly better. It’s enormous—definitely something I’d recommend sharing—but I enjoyed it far more than I did on my first visit.
One thing Backlot Express has going for it is space.

There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, which makes it much easier to find a table than some of the smaller restaurants around the park.
The indoor dining room is air conditioned, while the outdoor seating is covered, giving you a couple of different options depending on the weather.
It’s also conveniently located near Star Tours, with restrooms right across the walkway, making it an easy place to stop if you’re spending time around Echo Lake.
Like almost every quick service restaurant at Hollywood Studios, Mobile Order is the way to go if you want to save yourself some time.
Would I make a special trip across the park just to eat here?
Probably not.
But if I’m already in this area, I’d happily eat here again.
The food has always been solid, the seating is plentiful, and sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for during a busy Disney day.
Best for:
- Air-conditioned seating
- Chicken bowls
- Wookiee Cookie
- Star Tours area
- Plenty of seating
- Mobile ordering
4. Ronto Roasters

Ronto Roasters is another one of those restaurants that’s a little tricky to rank.
Like Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom, it’s technically a quick service restaurant, but the menu is so limited that some people think of it as more of a snack stand.
Personally, I think it deserves a spot on this list.
Why?
Because the Ronto Wrap is substantial enough to be an actual meal.

It’s certainly filling enough for lunch, and Disney even serves a breakfast version if you’re visiting Galaxy’s Edge earlier in the day.
If you’ve never had one before, the Ronto Wrap is basically a grilled sausage wrapped inside a soft pita with slaw and sauce. The breakfast version adds egg, making it an easy grab-and-go breakfast before tackling Rise of the Resistance.
It’s simple.
It’s not particularly fancy.
But somehow it just works.

The sausage has great flavor, the pita is soft without falling apart, and everything comes together into one of my favorite quick meals at Hollywood Studios.
In fact, if I’m spending time in Galaxy’s Edge, there’s a good chance I’m ordering one.
One of my favorite little traditions is grabbing a Ronto Wrap before heading to Oga’s Cantina.

As much as I love Oga’s, it really isn’t a restaurant. The snacks there are extremely limited, so I’ll usually grab a Ronto Wrap first and either eat it while we’re waiting to be called or finish it before heading inside.
The theming at Ronto Roasters is also worth mentioning.
The restaurant is almost hidden within Galaxy’s Edge, and if you aren’t paying attention, you could easily walk right past it.
The open-air kitchen features a giant podracer engine turning the meat spit while a former battle droid supervises the cooking. It’s one of those little Star Wars details that Imagineers tucked into the land, and I always enjoy stopping to watch it for a few minutes.

Seating is fairly limited.
There are a handful of covered tables nearby, but this isn’t the place I’d choose if I wanted to relax for an hour.
Instead, Ronto Roasters shines when you’re looking for a quick, flavorful meal before jumping back into your next attraction.
Best for:
- Quick lunches
- Breakfast
- Ronto Wraps
- Galaxy’s Edge
- Before Oga’s Cantina
- Star Wars fans
5. Fairfax Fare

If you’ve never wandered down Sunset Boulevard beyond The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, it’s easy to overlook Fairfax Fare.
That would be a mistake.
Out of the three quick service restaurants clustered together on Sunset Boulevard—Fairfax Fare, Rosie’s All-American Café, and Catalina Eddie’s—Fairfax Fare is easily my favorite.
The menu changes from time to time, but the meal that completely won me over was one of their loaded waffle bowls.
Mine was topped with barbecue and all kinds of delicious toppings, and honestly, it was excellent.

The waffle bowl itself was crispy enough to hold everything together, the portion size was just right, and it felt like something a little more creative than your typical theme park lunch.
It’s definitely something I’d order again.
One thing I like about this whole area is that you can mix and match if you’re visiting with family or friends.
Maybe someone wants a meal from Fairfax Fare.
Someone else wants dessert from Rosie’s.
Or maybe you’re all craving ice cream afterward from Hollywood Scoops just a few steps away.
Everything is close together, making it an easy place for everyone to find something they enjoy.
The seating here is also better than you might expect.
While there isn’t any air conditioning, there are plenty of covered tables, making this a nice place to sit if it’s raining or if you simply need a break from walking around Sunset Boulevard.

Would I rather have air conditioning?
Absolutely.
But the shaded seating is still much more comfortable than standing out in the Florida sun.
Because Fairfax Fare sits near both Tower of Terror and Fantasmic!, it’s also a convenient place to eat if you’re planning to spend part of your afternoon—or your evening—on Sunset Boulevard.
It may not get as much attention as Woody’s Lunch Box or Ronto Roasters, but it’s a restaurant I’d happily recommend.
Best for:
- Loaded waffle bowls
- Sunset Boulevard
- Covered outdoor seating
- Before Fantasmic!
- Mobile ordering
6. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

This is probably my most controversial opinion in the entire guide.
Because a lot of Disney fans absolutely love Docking Bay 7.
I… don’t.
At least, not based on my experience.
Now, before anyone gets out their pitchforks, let me explain.
I only have one meal to judge this restaurant by.
It’s entirely possible I caught them on an off day, and I’m certainly willing to give it another try in the future.

But based on the meal I had, it just didn’t live up to the hype.
I ordered the chicken entrée, along with the famous blueberry cornbread muffin and one of their signature desserts.
Honestly?
Everything was just…fine.
The chicken tasted like it had been sitting for a while under a heat lamp.
The blueberry cornbread looked beautiful, but I found it surprisingly bland.
Even the dessert—which so many people photograph around Galaxy’s Edge—looked more impressive than it tasted.
Nothing was bad.
Nothing was memorable either.

If I’m craving something sweet while I’m wandering around Galaxy’s Edge, I’d honestly rather grab the Outpost Mix from Kat Saka’s Kettle or save room for dessert somewhere else in the park.
Now let’s talk about what Docking Bay 7 does have going for it.
The theming is phenomenal.
In fact, the first time I visited, I almost walked right past it because it blends so naturally into Galaxy’s Edge.
The dining room feels like you’re eating inside the Star Wars universe, and Disney absolutely nailed the atmosphere.

It also has something that’s incredibly valuable on a hot Florida afternoon.
Air conditioning.
There’s plenty of indoor seating, making it one of the better places to cool off if you’re exploring Galaxy’s Edge.
If your priority is escaping the heat, Docking Bay 7 certainly accomplishes that.
For me, though, the food simply wasn’t strong enough to justify choosing it over some of the other quick service restaurants in Hollywood Studios.
Maybe I’ll have a completely different opinion after my next visit.
But for now, it lands near the bottom of my rankings.

Best for:
- Star Wars theming
- Indoor seating
- Air conditioning
- Galaxy’s Edge
- Escaping the afternoon heat
Other Hollywood Studios Quick Service Restaurants
There are a few other quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios that I haven’t spent enough time with to give a fair ranking.
Rosie’s All-American Café falls into that category.

Years ago, I had one of the burgers there, and it was perfectly fine.
Nothing was wrong with it.
It just wasn’t memorable enough that I’ve felt the need to go back, especially when Fairfax Fare is sitting right next door with more interesting menu options.
Catalina Eddie’s is another restaurant that’s still on my list.
Today it serves pizza, chicken parmesan, and other Italian-inspired comfort foods, but I haven’t eaten there since the menu changed. I’ll probably give it a try on a future trip simply for research, but for now, I don’t feel comfortable ranking it against restaurants I’ve actually experienced.
The same goes for Dockside Diner.

If you’re looking for hot dogs, you’ll certainly find them here, but I’ve never felt a strong desire to eat there when there are so many other options nearby. It’s another restaurant I’ll eventually visit in the name of research, but at the moment, I don’t have enough firsthand experience to recommend—or discourage—it.
One thing I try very hard to do with these guides is be honest about what I’ve actually eaten.
I’d much rather tell you, “I don’t know yet,” than pretend to be an expert on a restaurant I’ve barely experienced.
And honestly?
I think that makes these rankings more useful.
My Hollywood Studios Quick Service Rankings
After quite a few Disney trips (and plenty of calories consumed in the name of research), here’s how I’d personally rank the quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.
1. Woody’s Lunch Box
My favorite quick service restaurant in the park. The Totchos are incredible, the grilled cheese and tomato soup are comfort food at its finest, and the Lunch Box Tarts are always worth sharing. The only downside is the lack of indoor seating.
2. ABC Commissary
One of Hollywood Studios’ biggest hidden gems. The food is consistently good, the dining room is spacious and air conditioned, and it’s one of my favorite places to escape both the Florida heat and those afternoon rain showers.
3. Backlot Express
A restaurant that doesn’t always get the love it deserves. I’ve had surprisingly good meals here, there’s plenty of indoor seating, and the Wookiee Cookie is worth trying at least once—especially if you’re sharing it.
4. Ronto Roasters
The menu may be small, but the Ronto Wrap is good enough to earn its place near the top of my list. It’s quick, filling, and one of my favorite meals whenever I’m exploring Galaxy’s Edge.
5. Fairfax Fare
Those loaded waffle bowls completely won me over. Add in plenty of covered seating and a convenient Sunset Boulevard location, and this is an easy recommendation if you’re spending time near Tower of Terror or Fantasmic!
6. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
The theming is outstanding, and the indoor seating is a huge plus. Unfortunately, based on the meal I had, the food simply didn’t live up to the atmosphere. I’m willing to give it another chance someday, but for now it lands at the bottom of my rankings.

Final Thoughts
One thing I’ve learned after a lot of Disney trips is that the best quick service restaurant isn’t always the one with the fanciest menu.
Sometimes it’s the one with plenty of air conditioning after you’ve spent an hour standing in line for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
But other times it’s the restaurant that’s close to your next Lightning Lane so you don’t have to zigzag across the park.
And if you have kids, it’s simply the place where everyone in your family can find something they’ll actually eat.
That’s one of the things I appreciate about Hollywood Studios.
While the park doesn’t have as many quick service restaurants as Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, I actually think the overall quality is surprisingly high.
There are very few restaurants here that I’d actively tell people to avoid.
Woody’s Lunch Box remains my favorite because the food is consistently excellent, even if finding a seat can sometimes be a challenge.
ABC Commissary has become one of my favorite places to cool off in the middle of the day, and I think it’s one of the most underrated restaurants in all of Walt Disney World.
Backlot Express deserves far more credit than it usually gets, and Ronto Roasters proves that a restaurant doesn’t need a huge menu to serve a memorable meal.
Even Docking Bay 7—which landed at the bottom of my rankings—isn’t a restaurant I’d tell you to skip completely. The theming alone makes it worth stepping inside, and there’s always a chance my meal simply wasn’t representative of what they normally serve.
The nice thing about Hollywood Studios is that you really don’t have to overthink your dining plans.
There are several genuinely good quick service restaurants scattered throughout the park. The trick is choosing the one that’s closest to where you’ll be, fits your family’s tastes, and gives you the kind of break you need—whether that’s a hearty meal, a quick bite before your next ride, or simply forty-five minutes in the air conditioning.
Hopefully this guide helps you spend a little less time wondering where to eat…and a little more time enjoying your day at Hollywood Studios.
