Main Street Confectionery Review: Don’t Leave Magic Kingdom Without Stepping Inside

Wondering if Main Street Confectionery is worth visiting? Read my honest review, including the famous popcorn, bakery treats, caramel apples, and my favorite Disney tradition.
Estimated reading time: 6 minutes
I don’t always buy something at Main Street Confectionery.
But I almost always go inside.
Honestly, it’s just fun to look around.
If you have a sweet tooth, this place is dangerous. Everywhere you look there’s another caramel apple, another giant Rice Krispie treat, another case full of fudge, another cookie decorated so cute that you almost don’t want to eat it.
Almost.
It’s one of those stores where you walk in thinking, “I’m just going to look.”
Five minutes later you’re standing in line wondering whether you really need a bag of popcorn and a caramel apple.
The answer, by the way, is probably no.
That has never stopped me.

If you’re wondering where the fancy popcorn ranks compared to everything else in the park, check out my Magic Kingdom Snack Rankings, where I rank more than 20 of my favorite sweet and savory snacks.
Where Is Main Street Confectionery?
You’ll find Main Street Confectionery on Main Street, U.S.A., just a few minutes from the front entrance of Magic Kingdom.
Because of where it’s located, it’s an easy stop almost any time during the day.
Walking into the park?
You’ll pass it.
Heading back toward the buses or monorail?
You’ll pass it again.
Waiting for the parade?
Perfect excuse.
Waiting for fireworks?
Also a perfect excuse.
And if you need a few minutes in the air conditioning, that’s another good reason to wander inside.
It’s also a great place to pick up a snack before finding a spot for the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Whether you choose popcorn, a caramel apple, or one of the bakery treats, you’ll have something to enjoy while you wait for the parade to begin.
What’s on the Menu?
Honestly…
This isn’t really a menu kind of place.
It’s more of a “walk around until something catches your eye” kind of place.
You’ll usually find shelves and display cases full of:
- Caramel apples
- Decorated Rice Krispie treats
- Fudge
- Cookies
- Chocolate-covered treats
- Gummies and packaged candy
- Cotton candy
- Seasonal desserts
- Fresh popcorn in several different flavors
Disney changes things throughout the year, so I almost always find something new to admire.
Or buy.
Sometimes both.

What I Tried
Fancy Popcorn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the reason I actually buy something here instead of just browsing.
I love that you can mix different popcorn flavors together instead of committing to one giant bag.
It’s a fun way to try a few different flavors, especially if you’re sharing.
I ranked the fancy popcorn as my #5 favorite snack in all of Magic Kingdom, and I stand by that ranking.
It’s sweet.
It’s crunchy.
And somehow I always end up eating more of it than I planned.

Don’t Skip the Display Cases
Even if you think you’ve already decided what you’re getting…
Take a lap around the display cases first.
Seriously.
Disney’s bakery team deserves some kind of award.
The caramel apples are almost too pretty to eat.
The Rice Krispie treats somehow look better than the ones I make at home.
There are cookies, marshmallow treats, seasonal desserts…
It’s worth looking even if you’re just window shopping.

My Favorite Little Tradition
Here’s something that probably says way too much about me.
Almost every Disney vacation, I’ll buy a bag of cotton candy here and take it back to the resort.
Not because it’s the best cotton candy I’ve ever had.
Not because it’s unique to Disney.
I just like having it sitting in the room.
Later that night, after we’ve showered and our feet are exhausted, I’ll grab a few bites while we’re talking about our day or getting ready for the next one.
It’s silly.
I know.
But Disney vacations are full of little traditions like that, and somewhere along the way this became one of mine.
What I’d Buy Again
Definitely the fancy popcorn.
That’s still my favorite thing in the store.
But I’d be lying if I said I never leave with anything else.
Sometimes it’s cotton candy.
And otheres it’s a caramel apple.
Every once in a while, I go for one of those ridiculously cute Rice Krispie treats somehow ends up in my shopping bag.
I regret nothing.
Is Main Street Confectionery Worth Stopping For?
Absolutely.
Even if you don’t buy a thing.
I honestly think it’s one of the most fun stores on Main Street.
Walk through.
Look at all the treats.
Take your time.
Then decide whether something is calling your name.
Odds are…
It probably will.
Who Should Visit?
Main Street Confectionery is perfect if you:
- Have a sweet tooth.
- Want an edible souvenir.
- Love trying seasonal Disney treats.
- Need a break in the air conditioning.
- Can’t walk past a candy store without going inside.
(I fall into that last category.)
Final Thoughts
If I had to pick just one thing…
Get the popcorn.
If I had to give one piece of advice…
Don’t rush.
Half the fun of Main Street Confectionery isn’t buying something.
It’s wandering around, looking in all the display cases, pointing at things with your family, and saying,
“Ooooh… look at that one.”
And if you happen to walk out carrying a bag of popcorn… and a caramel apple… and some cotton candy…
Well…
You’re probably not the first person that’s happened to.
