Best Snacks in Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion

Looking for the best snacks in Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion? Here’s what I recommend, including Moroccan Bread and Dips, Pistachio Baklava, and why this is one of Epcot’s most underrated food stops.
Estimated reading time: 9 minutes
I feel like the Morocco Pavilion gets overlooked all the time.
People walk through it on the way to France.
Or Japan.
Or they stop long enough to take a picture and then keep moving.
And honestly, that is a shame.
Because when it comes to food, Morocco has some of the most interesting snacks in World Showcase.
Not necessarily the flashiest.
You are not walking in here and finding some giant Mickey-shaped dessert covered in sprinkles.
This is more like warm bread, flavorful dips, flaky pastries, pistachios, spices, and things that actually taste different from what you just ate three countries ago.
Which, at Epcot, matters.
There are only so many rich desserts you can eat before your body starts begging you to make a different decision.
Why Morocco Is Such a Good Snack Stop
One of the things I like about the Morocco Pavilion is that you can stop here and have something that feels substantial without turning it into a full meal.
That is a big deal at Epcot.
Because this park will absolutely get you.

You tell yourself you are just going to have one snack.
Then you grab something in France.
Then caramel in Germany.
Then maybe gelato in Italy.
And suddenly you are supposed to sit down for dinner in an hour and you are not remotely hungry.
Morocco is one of the places where I can stop, split something savory, try a small dessert, and keep going without feeling like I made a terrible life choice.
And I appreciate that.

Where to Find Snacks in the Morocco Pavilion
The two main places I think of are Tangierine Café and Oasis Sweets & Sips.
They are close enough together that you can very easily stop at both.
Which I recommend.
Tangierine Café is where I would go for something savory or a little more filling.
Oasis Sweets & Sips is where I would go when I want something sweet.
This is also one of those pavilions where I would not rush through the experience.
There are tucked-away corners, beautiful tile work, little details, and plenty of places where you can slow down for a few minutes.
Morocco has never felt like one of the loudest parts of World Showcase to me.
It feels calmer.
And sometimes that is exactly what you need.
Moroccan Bread and Dips

This is easily my favorite snack in the Morocco Pavilion.
Actually, I ranked it as one of my favorite savory snacks in all of Epcot.
It is one of those things that does not sound especially exciting until you try it.
Bread and dips.
Okay.
But then you get warm bread with several different spreads, and every bite tastes a little different depending on what you scoop up.
That is what makes it fun.
I also love that this is easy to share.
And yes, technically, a lot of Disney snacks are shareable.
But some of them are only “shareable” if everybody agrees on who gets which bite and nobody gets territorial.
This one actually works well for a group.
You can tear off pieces of bread, try all the dips, and still leave room for whatever comes next.
That is probably the biggest reason I like it so much.
It feels like a real snack.
Not a meal pretending to be a snack.
Not a giant sugar bomb.
Just something flavorful, interesting, and easy to enjoy.
Pistachio Baklava

Then there is the pistachio baklava.
I liked it.
I did not love it enough to rank it near the top of my Epcot dessert list, but that is also because Epcot has ridiculous dessert competition.
You are competing with France.
Germany.
Norway.
Japan.
That is not exactly fair.
Still, I thought the baklava was a good choice.
It was flaky, sweet, and had that nice pistachio flavor running through it.
If you already love baklava, I think you are probably going to like this more than I did.
It is also small enough that it does not feel like a giant commitment.
You can try one without using up your entire dessert appetite for the day.
And yes, I do think “dessert appetite” is a real thing at Epcot.

This Is a Great Place to Split Snacks
If you are doing the whole “snack around World Showcase” thing, Morocco is a good place to split things.
I would absolutely order the bread and dips for the table and then grab one or two pastries from Oasis Sweets & Sips to share.
That gives everyone a chance to try something without overdoing it.
Because again…
You still have a lot of countries left.
And maybe a dinner reservation.
And possibly several more miles to walk.
This is where I become the person telling you not to make yourself miserable.
It is very easy to get caught up in wanting to try everything.
I get it.
But Epcot will still be there next time.
You do not have to conquer the entire park with your stomach in one afternoon.
Do Not Just Walk Through the Pavilion
This is probably my biggest tip.
Do not treat Morocco like a hallway between France and Japan.
Walk back into the pavilion.
Look around.
Browse the shops.
Take a few minutes.

There are so many details here, and if you only stay near the main walkway, you miss a lot of them.
I also think the quieter feel makes it a nice place to take a break with your food.
Grab your bread and dips.
Find somewhere to sit.
Stop moving for five minutes.
Your feet will thank you.

What Else Should You Try?
There are definitely other sweets and pastries worth looking at, especially if you like nuts, honey, and layered pastries.
The selection can vary, and this is one of those places where I would honestly just look at the case and see what appeals to you.
That is usually my advice in the pavilions with big pastry displays anyway.
Pictures only tell you so much.
Sometimes you walk in thinking you want one thing, and then something else looks better in person.
That happens to me all the time.

Is Morocco Worth a Snack Stop?
Yes.
Especially if you are starting to feel like every snack around World Showcase is becoming some variation of chocolate, caramel, pastry, or ice cream.
Morocco gives you something different.
The bread and dips are savory.
The pastries have flavors you are not getting everywhere else.
And the whole pavilion has a quieter, more relaxed feel than some of the busier stops around World Showcase.
I would not tell you that every single snack here is going to become your new favorite thing in Epcot.
That is not the point.
The point is that this is one of the few places where you can stop, try something interesting, and feel like you are actually eating your way around the world instead of just rotating through different forms of sugar.
And sometimes…
That is exactly what I want.
