First Impressions & Theme

Walking across the bridge to Beast’s Castle instantly pulls you into the movie. From the stone bridge and glowing lanterns to the tall gates and that stormy backdrop, it’s dramatic in the best way. I was already impressed before we even walked inside.

In the lobby, there is a gorgeous Beauty and the Beast-themed stained glass window. It’s such a fancy touch and it’s absolutely photo-worthy.

The restaurant itself is split into three very different dining rooms:

The Grand Ballroom is exactly what you’d expect if you’ve seen the movie: chandeliers, gold accents, and a “snowfall” effect outside the windows.

The West Wing is moody and dark (in a cool way), with the enchanted rose under glass and flashes of lightning now and then.

Even if you aren’t seated in the West Wing you absolutely MUST visit during your dinner reservation time. Stick around long enough to see the Beast transform from the prince to the beast. It’s a really cool effect.

The Rose Gallery (also called the Castle Gallery) is quieter, a little brighter, and has this adorable rotating statue of Beast and Belle in the middle.

You don’t get to pick your room when you book, but I asked nicely at check-in, and the cast member said they’d try to seat us in the West Wing — and they did! Definitely worth the ask.

The Prix Fixe Menu & Food Experience

You pay one flat rate for a full three-course meal (starter, main course, and dessert). It’s not cheap, but you’re paying for the setting too. As of 2025, the cost is $72/adult and $43/child, plus tax and gratuity.

🥖 Menu Variety & Who It Works For

It’s mostly French-inspired cuisine, but I was surprised by how approachable it is — even for pickier eaters. If you’re avoiding certain ingredients, the My Disney Experience app breaks down allergy-friendly options. I saw plant-based dishes, gluten-free substitutes, and a few classics with a Disney twist.

Kids can order simpler options like mickey meatloaf, and they also offer things like vegetable quiche or chicken with veggies.

🥘 What We Tried

Appetizer: The Lobster Bisque was excellent — so incredibly rich and smooth. I’d order it again in a heartbeat. In 2025, it seems the lobster bisque has been replaced with French Onion Soup.

Main Course: I chose the grilled filet mignon with mashed potatoes, green beans, and heirloom tomatoes. The pork was juicy and flavorful, and the green beans were still crisp (thankfully not mushy). That said, my friend got the dry-aged pork chop, and I had food envy.

Dessert Trio: You don’t pick one — you get all three: a little lemon jam macaron, a small chocolate tart, and of course, the “grey stuff” on a dark chocolate truffle. The truffle was my favorite. The macaron was cute but forgettable.

You’re not going to roll out of here stuffed, but the portions felt balanced for a multi-course meal in the heat of Lake Buena Vista.

🍹 Drinks

Regular drinks are included. They also offer wines and cocktails for an extra cost. I just went with water, but I saw a few tables with glowing goblets of juice or mocktails. (Good news: non-alcoholic drinks are included with the meal, just not the fancy ones.)

Kid’s Menu

If you’re dining with kids, the kids’ menu at Be Our Guest does a nice job balancing adventurous and familiar. My daughter started with a cute little fruit appetizer — fresh melon, grapes, and strawberries arranged simply but colorfully.

For dessert, she got the interactive option, which was honestly a highlight: a white chocolate “Chip” teacup filled with mousse, and a little edible paint palette and brush so she could decorate it herself. It was messy, fun, and very on-theme. Between that and the castle setting, she felt like this was a special treat just for her.

How Was the Service?

Honestly, our cast member was lovely. She stayed in character just enough to keep the “enchanted castle” vibe going but also gave us real info when we asked questions. Timing was smooth — we never felt rushed, but food didn’t take forever either.

Price vs. Value

So… is it worth the splurge? That depends. Right now, dinner is around $72 per adult and $43 per child, before tip. If you’re using the Disney Dining Plan, it counts as one table service credit, which makes it a better deal.

If you’re mainly here for the food, you might find the price steep. But if you want to soak in the themed rooms, spot The Beast, and say you dined inside Beast’s Castle, then yes — it delivers.

Pre-2020, you could actually get your picture with The Beast. Post-2020, The Beast walks through the dining room, but doesn’t stop for more than a wave. So, get your cameras ready fast!

Reservations: Easy to Get?

Not really. This place stays popular. I booked mine about a month in advance, and even then, the times were limited. If you’re flexible and checking often, you might get lucky with a same-day cancellation through the My Disney Experience app.

Walk-ups? I wouldn’t count on it.

Is It Kid-Friendly?

It’s kid-friendly in the sense that they’re welcome and there’s a kids’ menu, but the vibe is a little more refined. It’s not loud or full of energy like Cinderella’s Royal Table, and there’s no dancing or singing except for the occasional peek of Beast walking by.

That said, my 12-year-old loved the West Wing and kept whispering about the thunder and the “torn” painting of the prince.

There are high chairschanging tables, and enough familiar options that most kids will find something to enjoy.

Where It’s Located

Be Our Guest is in New Fantasyland, tucked just behind Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and near Enchanted Tales with Belle. It’s right past the old gateway, and once you cross the stone bridge, you’re there.

If you’re entering from Main Street, it’s maybe a 10-minute walk depending on crowds.

So… Should You Dine Here?

If you’ve never been and you’re into Beauty and the Beast, this is a no-brainer. The special effects, the elegant 550-seat layout, and the chance to dine by the enchanted rose make it feel like a Disney bucket list experience.

I probably wouldn’t go every trip — it’s more of a “once-per-vacation” thing than a must-repeat for me. But if you want that perfect mix of storytelling, theming, and food that’s actually good, this is a great option.

🎯 Best Tip: If you want a more dramatic setting, ask for a seat in the West Wing. It’s spooky, immersive, and feels like you’re eating right at the foot of Beast’s story.
