The Kinder Farm Park Playground went through a massive renovation in 2020 and the new playground is absolutely fantastic. It is farm themed, which is perfect for the farming theme of the entire park.

Picnic Facilities and Outdoor Pavilions

Speaking of shade, I LOVE the fact that there are numerous picnic tables and picnic areas throughout the park. Many of these areas are shaded and there are at least 1/2 a dozen shaded picnic tables right next to the playground.

You can also rent one of the two large outdoor pavilions for birthday parties, community gatherings, and more.

Check the schedule too because on a monthly or weekly basis you might get to see demonstrations! The Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild does blacksmithing demonstrations most Sunday afternoons from 1-4pm. And most Saturday mornings the Sawmill Club will do demonstrations where they feed logs through the mill.
