You have likely visited Butler’s Orchard in the Fall for their amazing Pumpkin Festival. But, I have to tell ya… Bunnyland is every bit as much fun too! All the slides and rubber ducky race from the fall festival are available. And they have a very fun Bunny hayride and Easter egg hunt as well. You can read more details about Bunnyland here.
Clark’s elioak Farm
Starting in the spring, Clark’s Elioak Farm in Clarksville holds special event days that are really super fun for kids, especially younger kids (although older kids won’t be able to resist the animals and the Instagram-worthy Enchanted Forest). Clark’s Elioak Farm is not overwhelming for little kids and they split the Easter Egg hunts up by age.
Green Meadows Petting Farm
We were totally impressed by the Green Meadows Petting Farm Easter fun! Wow. First of all, they have loads of newborn baby animals for your kids to hold and pet. Then, there are tons of fun play structures and a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt. Click here to read more about our experience at Green Meadows Farm.
Milburn Orchards in Elkton, MD is totally worth the drive. Like with some of the other fantastic Easter event places, there are plenty of play structures for kids and a decent petting farm. I really loved this Easter Egg hunt too because there are loads of eggs. Afterwards you cash your eggs in for cool prizes! On select days, you can also sign up for breakfast with the Easter Bunny. How fun is that? Click here for more information.
Spring Eye sPY tRAINS
Montgomery County Parks has the perfect Easter event for young ones. Technically this isn’t an Easter event, but it does feature Spring items.. so you might see a bunny or chick. You never know. The miniature trains run weekends in April at both Cabin John and Wheaton Regional Park (read our in depth review of Wheaton park here.)
Did you hear that the lion exhibit is now completed? That is just one more reason for you to visit the Maryland Zoo for Easter festivities. Over Easter weekend, the zoo will have special enrichment for the animals (meaning awesome photo opportunities) and Easter egg hunts, among other entertainment. We love the Maryland Zoo. You can read more about Bunny BonanZoo here.
There are so many fun Bunny Train options. Here are some of our favorites:
- The Walkersville Southern Railroad is one of the best train experiences for kids in the region. The bunny train is awesome. You can purchase tickets here.
- Western Maryland Scenic Railroad- this spectacular train in Western Maryland holds a really special Easter Bunny train event called the Bunny Hop. You can opt to eat lunch or dinner as you ride the train through the mountains. In addition to seeing the Easter Bunny, there is also an egg hunt! Click here for more details.
- The B&O Railroad in Baltimore also has a great Easter Bunny train and egg hunt over Easter weekend. This is a great place for any train lover! Click here for more information.
Robinson Nature Center
The Robinson Nature Center is completely awesome for kids of all ages and adults. It is really a state of the art facility with fantastic programs (you can read our complete review here). For Easter, you can sign your kids up for the April 14 Spring Eggstravaganza for spring themed crafts, music, games.. and of course, Easter egg hunts! Read more about this event here.
Westminster Peep Show
Westminster has put on the PEEPshow for 12 years and host the event in April that is a marshmallow display must see! Competitors must turn PEEPS into a masterpiece all their own with the themes changing from year to year. This is a super awesome Easter event for kids because many of the PEEPS displays are very recognizable. It is such a fun event!
