Unique Theme Parks To Visit With Kids

Diggerland

Have you ever wondered what would happen if they made a theme park with a construction theme concept? At Diggerland, you can make that dream become a reality! This mega-sized theme park is all things construction and fun! Ride in a JCB 3CX backhoe or ride in an actual farm tractor! There is even a dig site where your kids can dig for treasure.

Dutch Wonderland

This theme park is set in an Amish wonderland that your kids will love exploring and visiting. This is a great theme park for those looking for a more wholesome experience that you won’t find anywhere else. There is a zero alcohol policy within the park, and there are tons of rides and attractions to ride. They have familiar eats within the park, such as Subway and Nathan’s Hot Dogs, so this is an excellent option if you have picky eaters in tow.

Holiday World

Holiday World is celebrating the holidays all year round at this fun and seasonal theme park. There are four main sections to this theme park: Halloween, Christmas, Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving, each with their own unique holiday touch. Not only is this one of the few theme parks that still have free parking, but you’ll find attractions for kids of all ages here! There are water slides and a full water park, as well as thrill rides, a treehouse, and merry-go-round for your little ones.

Sesame Place

If your kids grew up watching Sesame Place, and maybe you have a bit of nostalgia for your favorite characters, head to Pennsylvania to visit Sesame Place! This theme park isn’t just for little kids either! There are water slides and a wave pool for older kids and a safe play area if you have kids who are five and under. This water park is a fun way to interact with your favorite characters and cool off during the summer months.

Story Land

This isn’t exactly a Disney World size theme park, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in fun and charm. This theme park is themed around some of your favorite storybook characters with extras such as tea time with Cinderella that won’t cost you $50+ a head. This park is mostly geared toward smaller children. However, there are a few thrill rides your older children will love it too. There is a unique wooden roller coaster called the Roar-a-Saurus that you must ride as well as other fun rides and attractions to explore.

There are so many fun and unique theme parks out there just waiting for you to visit! These are just as fun as some of the famous ones, but for nearly half the cost!
