1. Artsy Partsy

Artsy Partsy is probably one of our favorite places to visit in Maryland. Ms. Jeannette has more than doubled the size of this kid-friendly art studio in Pasadena and for good reason. She offers tons of art classes for kids of all ages, including school’s out art camps. There are special events, including Mommy and Me and Daddy and Me painting events. Every Friday evening is Family Paint Night and there are open studio hours every weekend!

2. Urbana Art & Soul Studio

This is a fantastic art studio in Ijamsville, MD that mostly offers classes and camps. However, every Monday and Tuesday from 10-11am, they host a Tiny Art Explorers Program for kids through pre-K. This program begins with a “circle time” and then kids and parents participate in various art centers. The centers include monthly themed fine motor skills, fun easel painting, creative play, early literacy, math, & crafts.

Drop-In Art Making every weekend. Not only can you visit this Baltimore art museum, but head to the lower level to take part in ongoing themed art projects designed for kids! But they have two kid-focused events every month. 1st Friday: Story Time from 10:30-11:30am is perfect for your younger kids. Kids enjoy story time and then a project that corresponds to the book. “ArtLab is a mobile arts education and enrichment platform which allows us to bring the power of creativity to you. A former bookmobile, graciously gifted from the Allegany County Library System, it has received an impressive makeover which allows us to bring equipment and supplies to every corner of our community.
