Frozen Mickey Ears Ornament: Elsa

What you will need:

Elsa Mickey Ears Disney Ornaments

  • Cardstock or Construction Paper (cardstock would be better because it is a heavier material). For Elsa you need the following colors: Grey or silver, white, light blue, and teal blue.
  • Glue stick (like kids use in school)
  • White school glue (like Elmer’s glue)
  • Optional: paper plate or small tray, paintbrush
  • Optional: Black marker or sharpie (for tracing)
  • Scissors with sharp edges (so, adult scissors, not kid scissors)
  • Glitter in the following colors: White and silver-blue  (so, Elsa colors)
  • String or Ribbon; preferably a basic color like black or white. Or, you can use a matching color like blue or silver.
  • Frozen Ornament Craft Template (download here)

How to Make the Elsa Ornament:

  1. Download and print out the Elsa Mickey Head ornament template. Before you print, check out the instructions on the PDF download. If you choose, you can print each page of the template out on the corresponding color for each of the different parts of Elsa’s dress.
  2. Alternative: You could also print out the PDF template on white paper. Then cut all the pieces out, trace them on the color paper needed, and then cut them out again. This method does involve more steps (and twice as much cutting), but if you can’t figure out how to print the template one page at a time on colored cardstock, this might be an easier option for you. (to be fair, that’s the option I choose. ha!)

2. Once you have cut out all the pieces set them aside.

Now let’s start assembling the Elsa ornament!

  1. With the glue stick, glue the white moon-shaped piece to the large light blue circle.
  2. Then glue the teal colored piece that’s shaped kind of like a kidney over the white piece. It should look like the photo below.

  1. Now, take the two smaller light blue circles and glue them to the back of the larger circle. These are the Mickey Ears. You might want to use the Elmer’s glue (as opposed to the glue stick) for this step… just to ensure the ears stay stuck.

XZC6. Glue the crown to the top of the Elsa Mickey Head as shown below. Then glue the cape to the back of the ornament, just under where you glued the Mickey ears. Note: If you purchase a variety pack of blue cardstock, you could pick a third blue color (light blue would work best) for Elsa’s cape. This would give you ornament even more dimension!

Glitter adding tips!

  1. Add glitter! So, there are two options with the glitter. You could glitter your pieces before you glue them together or you could glitter your pieces after the cardstock elements are already glued together. Either way, you will want the glitter to dry completely before you move onto the next step.
  2. Pro tip: You don’t want to use too much glue or the glitter will be clumpy. You also don’t want to use too little glue or the glitter will not stick to the cardstock evenly. Definitely use Elmer’s glue (or glue like that). Best crafting practice: squirt glue onto a plate or tray and then use a small paintbrush to paint the area you want to add glitter to… one color at a time.

Then, sprinkle the glitter onto the area, shake off the excess, and let it dry.

  1. For Elsa, apply white glitter to the white bodice area. And apply silver glitter to the edge and jewel of the crown.
  2. Flip over the ornament and add a bit of white school glue to the back. Loop a piece of string or ribbon and glue in place.

Allow the glue to dry completely.

What you will need:

Anna Mickey Ears Disney Ornaments

  • Cardstock or Construction Paper (cardstock would be better because it is a heavier material). For Anna you need the following colors: light blue, blue, dark pink, black, and gold.
  • Glitter in the following colors: blue green, pink, and gold (so, Anna’s colors)
  • String or Ribbon; preferably a basic color like black or white. Or, you can use a matching color like blue or gold.

How to Make the Anna Ornament:

  1. Download and print out the Anna Mickey Head ornament template. Before you print, check out the instructions on the PDF download. If you choose, you can print each page of the template out on the corresponding color for each of the different parts of Anna’s dress.

3. Glue the pieces together with a glue stick. Use the photos as a guide. Start with the larger light blue circle. With the glue stick, glue the black piece to the light blue circle. Then, glue the darker blue piece on top of the black piece.

  1. Flip the ornament over and glue the dark pink circles to the back of the ornament to make the Mickey Ears.

Add glitter!

  1. Add white school glue to her crown and the areas of her dress that you’d like to glitter. If you don’t want to use too much or too little glue to the ornament, I would suggest squirting glue onto a plate or tray, and then using a paint brush to ‘paint’ the area with glue, one color area at a time. You could also use a glitter glue pen for the detailed areas of Anna’s dress.
  2. Start with the dress details, add the blue-green glitter on the lines provided (see below)… and possibly dark pink embellishments for the flowers in her dress.
  3. Once that is dry, apply glue to the brocade area of the dress (as pictured below), glitter, shake off the excess, and let dry.
  4. Finally, apply dark pink glue and glitter to the jewel in Anna’s crown. Shake off the excess glitter and let dry.

Frozen Mickey Ears Ornament: Olaf

What you will need:

  • White Paper or Cardstock (cardstock would work better because it is heavier)
  • Glue- glue stick and Elmer’s glue
  • Orange crayon
  • Sharp Scissors (not kid scissors)
  • Glitter– orange and white
  • String or Ribbon– preferably black or white string
  • Frozen Ornament Craft Template

How to Make the Olaf Ornament:

  1. Download and print out the Olaf Mickey Head ornament template. Cut out and set aside.

2. Glue the pieces together with a glue stick. Use the photos as a guide. This is a much simpler ornament than Anna and Elsa so you really just need to glue the smaller white circles to the back of Olaf’s face to make the Mickey ears.

3. Color Olaf’s nose orange.

  1. Add white school glue to Olaf’s ears and nose.

5. Sprinkle on glitter and shake off the excess. Use white glitter for Olaf’s ears. For the nose you could either use the white glitter or you could use orange glitter.
