1. Maryland Christmas Show – Frederick
The Frederick fairgrounds are the home to this year’s Maryland Christmas Show Nov. 22-24 and Nov. 29-30 and December 1st. With dozens of vendors available offering seasonal gift ideas – ornaments, decorations and more – as well as home décor ideas and arts and crafts, the Maryland Christmas Show covers many of your holiday needs.
You’ll want to shop for your holiday treats at the food pavilion with several treats and desserts available. The two-weekend event takes care of many Christmas gift ideas. You’ll want to visit both weekends – and don’t hesitate on buying gifts – because the same vendors won’t be there each time.
2. Downtown Holiday Market– Washington D.C.
The 19th Annual Downtown Holiday Market, Washington D.C.’s outdoor shopping village, kicks off the holiday season November 17. As the tradition continues, the beloved outdoor market will support small businesses, local artisans and entrepreneurs from across the region. Shoppers can enjoy the enhanced open-air street market in the heart of the District through December 15.
Operated by the DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) and Diverse Markets Management, this year’s market will move from its previous sidewalk location into the street, taking over two entire blocks of F Street NW, from 7th to 9th Streets NW.
This year’s retail lineup will feature more than 70 exhibitors each day including Black-owned and minority-owned businesses from the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development’s (DSLBD) Made in DC program, and this season’s trending styles from the BID’s District of Fashion local designer collections.
WHERE: F Street NW between 7th and 9th Streets NW– Entrance is outside the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum
Tip: If you are headed to DC to see the National Christmas Tree, Washington Ballet Nutcracker, or the US Botanic Garden, this would be a super fun and festive addition to your holiday day trip!

3. Christmas Village – Baltimore
In Europe, weeks-long outdoor Christmas markets truly ring in the holiday season. With Christkind (giver of gifts), the markets are a bevy of holiday-themed vendors, such as ornaments, decorations and traditional food. Today, Baltimore carries on that tradition with the Christmas Village in the Inner Harbor. Running from November 23rd until Dec. 24, about 50 vendors provide seasonal items, including holiday-themed decorations and ornaments as well as German-style food and condiments.
Shoppers find all kinds of goods at the indoor and outdoor village, including toys, jewelry, clothes and arts and crafts. With Santa Claus in town to visit with children abut their holiday wish lists, a trip to the Baltimore Christmas Village is the perfect way to celebrate the advent season.
If you have ever visited Germany during the Christmas season you know these Christkindl Markts are really special. Baltimore’s festivities do include the famous gluhwein and you can buy authentic German holiday crafts from Käthe Wohlfahrt!

4. Kris Kringle Christmas Market – La Plata
The Kris Kringle Christmas Market combines the best of the holiday season – Santa Claus, Christmas tree lighting and shopping! The three-day event Dec. 13-15 kicks off with Santa’s arrival on Friday, along with the official tree lighting ceremony.
While the kids visit Santa Claus and discuss the world’s issues – such as the perfect gift they want – you can head over to the market where dozens of vendors offer holiday-themed gift ideas, from ornaments to home décor. Make sure to stop at the concession area and enjoy a nice meal or treat. The Christmas market includes a live nativity scene and music.
5. Capital Craft Fair
December 13-15, 2024 at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia
The Capital Craft Fair will feature works of art and fine crafts presented by more than 100 juried artists. Artists will offer a wide variety of handmade art in mediums including clothing/textiles/fiber, food and beverage, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting and prints, photography, pottery/clay, printmaking, wood.
Larger vendor booths, controlled ticket sales, wider aisles to accommodate social distancing and complimentary face masks provided to all vendors and attendees will make this retail environment compliant with all State and local health requirements.

6. Howard County Craft Spectacular
This amazing Christmas Craft Show really is spectacular… it is very large and the vendors have sooo many fantastic gifts and Christmas decor ideas. There are over 375 Crafters this year!!!
Honestly, as far as Christmas Markets in Maryland go, this is probably my favorite one! There are just so many vendors and artisans!
October 31 and November 1-2, 2025 (this is info for the 2025 show) from 9 am to 5 pm Fri & Sat and 9 am to 4 pm Sun – Rain or Shine!!
7. Annmarie Holiday Makers Market
Holiday Shopping at Annmarie. Annmarie Sculpture Garden in Calvert County, MD is holding their Holiday Market on December 7th during the day and December 13, 14, 20, and 21 in the evenings.
This will be an indoor and outdoor market where vendors will sell unique jewelry, pottery, beauty products, home decor, small batch foods, and more. Inside, you will find more shopping in the Annmarie Gift Shop, the Holiday Gift Show, and the Ornament Show & Sale. There’ll be something for everyone on your list!

8. Williamsport Christkindlmarkt
Annual three-day small, outdoor German Christmas Market sponsored by Kelly Moore Sheds & Marketplace. Always the weekend closest to December 6th, St. Nicholas Day. In 2024 the dates will be 6-8 December.

9. Annual Sykesville Holiday Marketplace
This is a really fantastic Christmas craft show! There are over 180 carefully selected vendors with a huge variety of handmade crafts and many favorite direct sale companies. From home decor to skin care products, paper crafts to jewelry, candles to glassware, children’s items to specialty foods & drinks, there is something for everyone! Get all of your holiday shopping done in one place.

10. Early Christmas Flea Market and Craft Fair
This event, run by the Ann Arrundell County Historical Society will host over 50 vendors for their annual early Christmas Craft Show. The market takes place at the the historic Benson-Hammond House in Linthicum, MD.
The craft fair will take place on November 2nd from 8am-3pm.
11. Pennsylvania Christmas and Gift Show
Thousands come from all over the Northeast to visit The Pennsylvania Christmas & Gift Show, a festive celebration of the season’s finest decorations, arts & crafts, cuisines, and musical & dance groups.
Among the unique and exclusive gifts available are crafts, jewelry, clothing, Christmas decorations, toys, household accents, ceramics,furniture, dolls, flowers, paintings, holiday foods and much more.
Dates: December 4-8, 2024
Time: 9AM-7PM through Saturday. Sunday hours 10AM-5PM
Ticket prices: $10/person, $8/person age 62 and older. Kids under 11 are free!
12. Bethlehem, PA Christkindlmarkt
This Christmas market has been recognized as one of the best holiday markets in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure, this heart-warming holiday event features:
- Handmade works by more than 50 of the nation’s finest artisans.
- The ring-ting-tingling sounds of live Christmas music and jolly, old St. Nick’s hearty laughter.

13. The Pocomoke Chamber of commerce Christmas Arts & Crafts Festival
If you are looking for a fun holiday market on the Eastern Shore, plan a trip to Pocomoke City on November 9th from 9am to 3pm. Santa will even pay the market a visit from 11am-2pm!
There will be more than 30 crafts and arts vendors, music, food, and more! This event will take place at the Pocomoke Community Center.
14. Thurmont Christmas Market Craft & Vendor Show
This Frederick County craft festival will take place on November 16th and 17th from 9am to 3pm each day. Pop by the Thurmont Event Complex and support the Thurmont Ambulance Company!
15. Country Christmas Market
On November 30th from 10am-630pm, you can definitely get some of your Christmas shopping done at the Caroline County 4H Park Country Christmas Market.
This market has a country and western theme, complete with options to have your photo taken with cowboy Santa! Local vendors will selling fun gift options and Farmers Daughter’s BBQ will be available for delicious food options! A super fun and unique option for a Christmas Market in Maryland!
16. 2024 Vintage Christmas Market
Head on out to the Wildberry Farm & Market to shop from over 100 local vendors (vendors rotate) on the 1st and 2nd Saturdays of December. In 2024 those dates are 7 and 14 December, with rain dates of 8 and 15 December. The market will run from 2-6pm each day.
17. Silver Spring Christmas Market and Holiday Craft Fair
On December 1st from noon-4pm there will be over 80 artisans, crafters, independent consultants and other local small businesses at Veteran’s Plaza to sell all kinds of unique gifts. This is a super family friendly event and is free to attend!
18. Bel Air’s Farmers’ Market Holiday Village
The first ever Bel Air Farmers’ Market Holiday Village will be held starting November 23rd from 2-8pm at the Bel Air Farmers’ Market location.
They are modeling this market like the European markets and will have local artisans and farmers selling gifts, food, and more. Also, Das Bierhalle will open a beer garden. There will be cookie decorating and live holiday music!
19. Annapolis Holiday Market
Annapolis is such a magical place to hang out in during the holiday season so you know their Holiday Market will be fantastic! In 2024 the Holiday Market will take place December 12th-15th.
2022 was the first year of the market and it was a huge hit. In 2024, there will be over 80 artisans and specialty food vendors. If you head to the market on Saturday, you can also see the famous Eastport Light Parade!

20. Christkindl Markt Hagerstown
Another Christmas Market fashioned after the amazingly festive German Christmas markets. In 2024 this market will be held December 13th from 3-8pm and December 14th from 10am-4pm at University Plaza in Downtown Hagerstown.
Both days there will be live acoustic holiday music, visits from Santa Claus, and a kid zone with holiday crafts. There are typically between 35-45 unique artisans and vendors. Great for holiday shopping!
